The Mitsubishi Outlander has been given a notable update for 2025, featuring enhanced equipment, updated styling, and revised driving dynamics. The refreshed model marks the most comprehensive revision since the current generation launched, with petrol-only versions priced from $39,990 before on-road costs. Updated 2025 Outlander plug-in hybrid models are expected to join the line-up at a later date.

Price and line-up changes

The 2025 Outlander introduces price increases across the range, with rises between $2050 and $2950 depending on the variant. The entry-level ES now starts from $39,990 plus on-road costs. The Black Edition has been removed from the range, while the flagship petrol grades – Exceed and Exceed Tourer – now adopt a five-seat layout instead of seven.

Drive-away pricing details remain unconfirmed at this stage.

  • Smoked LED tail-lamp lenses
  • LED rear indicators and reverse lights added for the first time

  • New prestige colour option for higher grades: Moonstone Grey

Exceed Tourer variants also receive exclusive two-tone paint options paired with a contrasting Black Mica roof.

Mechanical updates for new Outlander

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander continues to use the 2.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 135kW and 244Nm, paired with a CVT featuring enhanced noise isolation. However, Mitsubishi has been hard at work to make this SUV better suited for Australian driving conditions. As such, the 2025 Outlander also introduces:

  • Retuned electric power steering for improved feel
  • Revised shock absorber calibration
  • A thinner front anti-roll bar
  • New Bridgestone summer tyres

These changes were developed collaboratively by Mitsubishi teams in Australia and Japan, with input from local road testing.
