Škoda’s long‑serving flagship has evolved once more. The fourth‑generation Škoda Superb – still the only mass‑market large passenger model on sale here – touches down with fresh styling, more power and a cabin overhaul, yet remains priced below the $75,000 drive‑away mark.

Pricing: sedan or wagon, one high‑spec grade

Body styleList price (before ORC)National drive‑awayChange v. outgoing
SportLine lift‑back$67,990$73,990
+$4,000 (drive‑away)
SportLine wagon$69,690$74,990+$3,000 (drive‑away)

Škoda says the newcomer carries more than $10,900 of additional standard equipment for only a $2,400 list‑price increase.

Chassis & dynamics

The 2025 Superb is built on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB Evo platform, promising improved rigidity and a refined driving experience. Offered in a single fully-loaded grade, the Skoda Superb comes with Dynamic Chassis Control Plus which features 15-stage adaptive damping for improved ride quality in varied conditions. The large sedan and wagon also comes with progressive steering which helps balance handling at higher speeds while being easy to maneuver in city conditions.

It also gets an electronic diff lock and drive modes to allow the driver to switch between dynamic traits of the new Superb.

Exterior highlights

The new Superb showcases fresh styling cues that elevate its road presence:

  • Second-generation Matrix LED headlights: Now featuring animated indicators for a modern touch.
  • Revised grille and bumpers: Contributing to a sharper, more defined look.
  • Sleeker body lines: Enhancing its overall aerodynamic profile.
  • Hands-free electric tailgate (wagon): Adding convenience for cargo loading.
  • Choice of metallic and pearl paints: Complemented by distinctive black SportLine detailing.
  • 19-inch ‘Torcular’ alloys: Paired with performance rubber for enhanced grip.

New‑look cabin & technology

Step inside the 2025 Superb, and you’ll find a comprehensively overhauled cabin that blends luxury with intuitive tech:

  • 13-inch central touchscreen: Running the latest MIB4 software for improved infotainment experience. Buyers can also pair with the optional 12-speaker Canton hi-fi sound system.
  • 10-inch digital instrument cluster: Offers configurable layouts for driver information.
  • Relocated column-mounted shift rocker: Frees up space on the centre console for a cleaner look.
  • Three Smart Dials: These innovative controls manage climate, drive modes, and infotainment shortcuts, providing tactile feedback and ease of use.
  • Flat-bottom, leather-wrapped steering wheel: Features paddle shifters for a sporty feel.
  • Sports seats in perforated leather: Power-adjustable with heating, ventilation, and massage functions for ultimate comfort.
  • Elevated cabin experience: Ambient lighting, tri-zone climate, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto & wireless charger

Safety & driver assistance upgrades

Škoda has significantly upgraded the Superb’s safety and driver assistance features, providing greater peace of mind on Australian roads:

  • Updated AEB: Now includes cyclist and junction assist for improved collision prevention.
  • Adaptive cruise control with lane centring: Enhances highway driving comfort and safety.
  • 360-degree camera & intelligent park assist: Making parking manoeuvres effortless.
  • Traffic-sign recognition & rear-cross traffic alert: Further aiding situational awareness.
  • Nine airbags as standard: Providing comprehensive occupant protection.

Verdict

With improved driveability, more technology and a premium interior treatment, the 2025 Skoda  Superb SportLine sharpens its value proposition in a shrinking large‑car segment. Both the liftback and cavernous wagon remain keenly priced given their new‑found equipment, and standard AWD plus adaptive damping should keep the Czech flagship as comfy and composed as ever when it reaches showrooms later this month.
