The Fiat brand may be running a slim passenger-car lineup in Australia, but its commercial vehicle business is about to grow. From February, Fiat will add a new model to its local range with the launch of the 2026 Fiat Scudo mid-size van.
Sold under the Fiat Professional banner, the Scudo slots in below the full-size Ducato and aims at heavy hitters such as the Toyota HiAce, Hyundai Staria Load, and Ford Transit Custom. Prices start from $48,490 before on-road costs, making it one of the more affordable entries in the segment.
If the Fiat Scudo looks familiar, that’s because it is. The “new” Fiat Scudo is effectively a Peugeot Expert wearing Italian badges, marking a return to a formula Fiat has used before. The previous Scudo was sold locally from 2008 to 2017 and was also a rebadged Peugeot.
The Fiat Scudo Series 3 is the latest version of Stellantis’ 3rd-generation mid-size van platform, first launched in 2016 and shared globally with Citroën, Opel, Vauxhall, Iveco, and even Toyota in some markets.
2026 Fiat Scudo price
Fiat Australia will offer the Scudo in two body lengths, short wheelbase (SWB) and long wheelbase (LWB). The Fiat Scudo is available with two trims, standard and Primo.
| Model | Price |
| 2026 Fiat Scudo SWB | $48,490 |
| 2026 Fiat Scudo LWB | $50,490 |
| 2026 Fiat Scudo Primo SWB | $50,990 |
| 2026 Fiat Scudo Primo LWB | $52,990 |
Despite the SWB and LWB naming, both versions share the same 3275mm wheelbase. The difference comes down to overall length: LWB models gain a longer rear overhang to boost cargo space.

All variants include standard safety features such as:
- Autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection
- Blind-spot monitoring
- Intelligent speed assist
- Lane-keep assist
- Traffic sign recognition
- Driver attention monitoring
- 6 airbags
The Fiat Scudo is backed by the brand’s five-year, 200,000km warranty, with five years of roadside assistance. Service intervals are set at 12 months or 20,000km, although capped-price servicing details are yet to be confirmed.
Market positioning
Fiat’s Australian business is now heavily skewed towards vans. In 2025, the brand delivered 1541 examples of the Ducato, compared with just 411 units of the Fiat 500, including run-out stock of the now-discontinued petrol model.
With the arrival of the Scudo, Fiat Australia is clearly doubling down on commercial vehicles, re-entering the competitive mid-size van segment with a familiar but proven package designed to bolster sales in a market dominated by the HiAce.
