Chinese carmaker GAC has confirmed Australian pricing and full specifications for the 2026 GAC Aion V, the brand’s first electric SUV to arrive as part of its local debut.
The new mid-size EV will compete against the likes of the BYD Atto 3, Geely EX5, and Leapmotor C10, as GAC aims to position itself as Australia’s newest value-focused Chinese brand.
GAC Aion V prices
Two variants will be offered at launch for the Aion V:
| Variant | Price (before on-road costs ) |
| 2026 GAC Aion V Premium | $42,590 |
| 2026 GAC Aion V Luxury | $44,590 |
These prices place the GAC Aion V slightly above the BYD Atto 3 but in line with hybrid mid-size SUVs like the Toyota RAV4. GAC says it expects to build brand awareness in 2025, targeting 1,000 sales, growing rapidly to 33,000 annual sales by 2028 as more models join the lineup.
