Geely Auto Australia has upgraded its mid-size electric SUV, the Geely EX5, with a larger battery and extended driving range. The updated 2026 model is now in Australian showrooms, and the prices for both variants are up by $1000.

Despite its entry-level pricing, the 2026 Geely EX5 includes “luxury-adjacent” standard features, such as massaging, heated, and ventilated front seats on higher trims, a 15.4-inch touchscreen, and a 16-speaker sound system.

Bigger battery, more range

The EX5’s battery capacity has increased to 68.39 kWh, from 60.22 kWh in the previous model. This upgrade delivers up to 45 km more (475 km for “Complete” variant) driving range (WLTP). The 2026 EX5 continues to use Geely’s Short Blade battery technology, designed to improve cabin space efficiency through compact cell packaging.
