The 2026 Honda ZR-V has arrived in Australia with expanded e hybrid availability, additional driver-assistance technology and drive-away pricing starting from $39,900. The mid-cycle update sees Honda’s hybrid powertrain become available across three of the SUV’s four variants, broadening access to one of the brand’s most fuel-efficient offerings.
Honda says the changes are aimed at improving the ZR-V’s appeal as an everyday family SUV, balancing fuel efficiency, driving performance and practicality for Australian buyers.
The biggest change for 2026 is the expansion of the e hybrid system further down the ZR-V range, giving customers more electrified options than before.

Hybrid availability expands across the range

The refreshed ZR-V line-up consists of four grades, including one petrol-powered variant and three hybrid models. Pricing for the 2026 Honda ZR-V range is as follows:
| Variant | Drive-away price* |
| Honda ZR-V Vi X | $39,900 |
| Honda ZR-V e X | $43,400 |
| HondaZR-V e L | $45,900 |
| Honda ZR-V e LX | $51,900 |
By offering hybrid power in three of the four available grades, Honda is continuing to expand its electrified vehicle range in Australia as consumer demand for fuel-efficient alternatives to traditional petrol vehicles grows.

Updated technology for 2026

Honda says the ZR-V also gains additional driver-assistance technologies as part of the 2026 update, further enhancing the SUV’s safety and convenience credentials.
While the company has not detailed the full list of changes, the update is intended to strengthen the ZR-V’s position in Australia’s highly competitive medium SUV segment.
The ZR-V sits between the HR-V and CR-V in Honda’s local SUV line-up and competes against a growing field of hybrid-focused rivals.
Sales growth highlights demand

Honda reported a 15.7 per cent increase in ZR-V sales during May, underlining continued demand for the medium SUV. The result comes as hybrid vehicles continue to gain traction across Australia, with many buyers looking for lower running costs and improved fuel efficiency without making the switch to a fully electric vehicle.
Ownership benefits retained

Alongside the model update, Honda continues to offer its ownership package across the ZR-V range. Customers receive a five-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, five years of premium roadside assistance and five low-price scheduled services.
Honda says these benefits are designed to provide greater certainty around ownership costs and aftersales support.
