Now, the exact specifications and launch prices have been revealed, with the all-new electric SUV expected to arrive in showrooms by the end of March 2026. The Elexio will enter with a single, highly-equipped “Elite” variant with a price tag of AU$59,990 (drive-away).

The 2026 Hyundai Elexio is an all-new EV for Australia. This medium-sized SUV is positioned between the Kona Electric and the IONIQ 5 and fills an important size gap for families who want more space than the Kona but not a large or premium offering like the Ioniq 5. It also serves as the sibling alternative of the Kia EV5.

The Elexio is the first Hyundai vehicle sold in Australia that is sourced from China. It is built by the Beijing Hyundai joint venture, which manufactures vehicles for global markets.
