Isuzu Ute Australia has confirmed the 2026 MU-X Tour Mate, a new special-edition version of its popular off-road SUV designed for touring and towing enthusiasts.
Following the D-Max Tour Mate ute launched last year, the new MU-X variant is based on the flagship LS-T 4×4 and priced at $79,990 drive-away, a $6550 premium over the standard LS-T before on-road costs.
That positions it $5000 higher than the Ford Everest Sport and slightly above the Toyota Prado GX, which starts at $78,500 drive-away.
Isuzu says the Tour Mate’s additional features are worth around $9000, meaning buyers save approximately $7600 compared with adding the same accessories separately.

The MU-X Tour Mate package enhances outback practicality with a range of factory-fitted accessories, including:
- Satin-black steel bull bar with integrated parking sensors and fog lights
- Tow kit with 50mm tow ball, 12-pin flat wiring harness, and electronic brake controller
- Rubber floor mats, rear cargo liner, and front/rear weather shields

Seven exterior paint options are available, including Mercury Silver, Moonstone White Pearl, Obsidian Grey, Magnetic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Basalt Black.
