South Korean carmaker KGM, formerly known as SsangYong, has announced pricing and specifications for its first electric mid-size SUV in Australia. The 2026 KGM Torres EVX arrives in dealerships this month ahead of sales commencing from December 1, 2025.
The Torres EVX joins the petrol KGM Torres and recently announced KGM Torres Hybrid locally, competing with the Tesla Model Y, BYD Sealion 7, and Kia EV5.

Available in a single trim, the Torres EVX costs $10,000 more than the flagship KGM Torres Hybrid K40 and $2000 less than the upcoming KGM Musso EV dual-cab ute, which will launch at the same time. Unlike the electric Musso, the Torres EVX will be front-wheel drive only, with no all-wheel-drive option offered.
