Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the 2026 C300 AMG Line Plus Edition for Australia, combining a more aggressive appearance with a reduced drive-away price compared to the standard C300.
Priced at $95,400 before on-road costs, the special edition is being offered for a limited time at $94,900 drive-away until June 30, 2026, undercutting the regular C300, which currently costs $99,500 before on-road costs, or $107,107 drive-away in New South Wales.
Mercedes-Benz says the AMG Line Plus Edition will be available in limited numbers, making it the latest in a string of special-edition C-Class models designed to boost showroom appeal and value.
2026 Mercedes-Benz C300 AMG Line Plus Edition pricing
The headline attraction of the Mercedes-Benz C300 AMG Line Plus Edition is its sharp pricing, undercutting the standard C300 by more than $12,000 on a drive-away basis for a limited period.
| Variant | Price (before on-road costs) | Price(drive-away until 30th June) |
| Mercedes-Benz C300 AMG Line Plus Edition | $95,400 | $94,900 |
What’s new? A sportier look inside and out!
Based on the top-spec Mercedes-Benz C300, the AMG Line Plus Edition adds a suite of cosmetic upgrades designed to deliver a more athletic appearance.
Added features over the standard C300:
- 19-inch black alloy wheels
- Night Package
- High-gloss black grille, mirror caps, beltline, and window surround trim
- AMG lip spoiler
- ‘Metal-structure’ centre console and dashboard trim
The visual enhancements give the C300 a darker, more aggressive stance, aligning it more closely with Mercedes-Benz’s AMG styling cues.

What’s missing: Feature trade-offs
To achieve its lower price, the AMG Line Plus Edition deletes several premium features fitted as standard to the regular C300.
Deleted equipment:
- Driving Assistance Package Plus (stop-and-go adaptive cruise functionality)
- Digital Light LED headlights with Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus
- 15-speaker, 710W Burmester 3D surround sound system
- Augmented-reality satellite navigation
While these omissions reduce the technology and luxury appeal, Mercedes-Benz has retained a long list of standard comfort, safety, and infotainment features.
Standard features retained
Despite the deletions, the AMG Line Plus Edition still comes well equipped, including:
- LED High Performance headlights with adaptive high-beam
- AMG Line exterior and interior packages
- Agility Control suspension
- Heated, power-folding mirrors
- Proximity entry and push-button start
- Rear privacy glass
- 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
- 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Wireless phone charger
- Heated, power-adjustable front seats with memory
- Artico leatherette upholstery
- Dual-zone climate control
- Active Parking Assist
- Adaptive cruise control
- Autonomous emergency braking
- Blind-spot monitoring
- Lane-keep assist
- Surround-view camera
- Traffic sign recognition
Part of a broader C-Class refresh strategy
The arrival of the AMG Line Plus Edition follows a series of pricing and equipment adjustments across the C-Class range.
In 2025, the flagship Mercedes-Benz C300 received a modest $100 price increase while gaining additional standard features, including Digital Light LED headlights and the Burmester 3D surround sound system.
Earlier the same year, Mercedes-Benz cut the price of the entry-level C200 by $4800, bringing it down to $87,800 before on-road costs, in a bid to strengthen its competitiveness in the luxury mid-size sedan segment.
The AMG Line Plus Edition is the first special edition based on the C300, following the C200 Night Edition in 2024 and the C200 Sport Edition in 2025.
C-Class sales in decline, but range expanding
The current-generation (W206) C-Class sedan arrived in Australia in 2022, initially offered in C200 and C300 guises, with the latter priced from $90,400 before on-road costs.
While the range has since expanded, including the introduction of the plug-in hybrid Mercedes-Benz C350e, priced identically to the C300, sales have steadily declined:
- 2022: 3566 units (down 26.4 per cent year-on-year)
- 2023: 2625 units
- 2024: 1943 units
- 2025: 1425 units
Mercedes-Benz hopes special editions such as the AMG Line Plus will reinvigorate interest in the C-Class, offering buyers a stronger blend of value, style, and brand appeal in a fiercely competitive segment.
