The compact electric hatchback focuses on affordability, practicality and urban-friendly performance, aimed primarily at city commuters and first-time EV buyers. The MG4 EV Urban is already on sale in the UK with the same battery capacities.

The MG4 EV Urban will be sold alongside the facelifted version of the sportier rear-wheel-drive (RWD) MG4 EV. The Urban EV is expected to compete with the BYD Dolphin.
