Nissan Australia has expanded the 2026 Nissan X-Trail range with three new front-wheel-drive (2WD) e-Power hybrid variants and the new Rock Creek edition. The lineup now includes 13 different grades with petrol and hybrid powertrains.
Previously, buyers could only get Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system with the more expensive e-4orce all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup. The new 2WD e-Power models lower the entry price for the hybrid range while also delivering better fuel economy.
Order books for the 2WD hybrids and the Rock Creek model are open now, with the first Australian customer deliveries scheduled for September 2026.
2026 Nissan X-Trail e-Power hybrid and Rock Creek edition price
The new front-wheel-drive (2WD) hybrids reduce the cost of entering the e-Power range. They cost $3,090 to $3,655 less than their all-wheel-drive equivalents, depending on the grade. And the Rock Creek costs $2,435 more than the ST-L 4WD petrol model on which it is based.
Customers can order the new 2WD e-Power variants and Rock Creek now, and the first Australian deliveries are expected to begin in September 2026.

2026 Nissan X-Trail e-Power hybrid
Nissan has expanded the e-Power line-up from three to six variants by adding front-wheel-drive versions of the ST-L, Ti, and Ti-L. Nissan’s e-Power system drives the wheels exclusively via an electric motor, and the petrol engine only generates electricity for the electric motor.
The new front-wheel-drive 2WD e-Power models improve efficiency and use about 11.5% less fuel than the AWD e-Power models.

Australia gets its first 2026 Nissan X-Trail Rock Creek edition
Nissan has introduced the Rock Creek edition to Australia for the first time. The 2026 Nissan X-Trail Rock Creek is made for buyers who want a tougher-looking family SUV. It is based on the ST-L AWD petrol model and comes exclusively as a 7-seat variant.
Exterior changes
The Rock Creek receives several model-specific styling upgrades, including:
- Black V-motion grille
- Black roof rails
- Gloss-black door mirrors
- Unique front lower bumper
- Exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels
- Orange accents on the front and rear badging
- Orange highlights on the alloy wheels
A distinctive three-slot grille, inspired by the Nissan D21 ute, is exclusive to the Rock Creek. The grade also introduces a new Baja Storm exterior colour paired with a black roof.
Interior upgrades
The Rock Creek adds unique trim and technology inside, including:
- Ballistic nylon-trimmed seats
- Embroidered Rock Creek logos
- Orange contrast stitching on the seats and dashboard
- Orange Nissan badge accent on the steering wheel
- 10.8-inch head-up display
- 12.3-inch fully digital TFT instrument cluster
These technology upgrades go beyond the standard ST-L grade on which the Rock Creek is based.
Warranty and servicing of the 2026 Nissan X-Trail
Every 2026 Nissan X-Trail includes:
- Nissan MORE 10-year/300,000km warranty
- Up to 10 years/300,000km roadside assistance when serviced at authorised Nissan dealers
- Flat-price servicing of $399 per service for the first five years
- Longer service intervals, which Nissan says help reduce ownership costs.
