Key changes for the refreshed Model 3 line-up include:

2026 Tesla Model 3  interior and safety updates

Inside, the Model 3 retains its minimalist cabin layout, with gear selection still operated through the touchscreen. Tesla has not added a full 360-degree surround-view system, but the new front-facing camera helps with manoeuvring in tight spaces.

Standard safety technology across the range includes:

  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Lane-keeping assistance
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Adaptive cruise control with Autopilot features
  • Front and rear parking sensors with camera support

It is yet to be confirmed whether existing Model 3 owners will be able to retrofit the indicator stalk to recent builds in Australia.

2026 Tesla Model 3 launch timeline

With its new Long Range RWD, Tesla now offers the longest-range EV in Australia, edging past the Polestar 3’s 706km range – though it is set to be surpassed by the upcoming BMW iX3, expected to reach 805km WLTP next year.
