Cadillac is expanding its Australian range with its first high-performance V-Series model ever, and it is electric. The 2027 Cadillac Lyriq-V EV will cost $99,000 before on-road costs, making it $9000 more expensive than the standard 2027 Lyriq Sport.
With 459kW and 880Nm from its dual-motor powertrain, Cadillac claims the mid-size Lyriq-V SUV can accelerate from 0–100km/h in just 3.6 seconds, which makes it the brand’s quickest production vehicle ever.
Cadillac Australia has opened order books for the right-hand-drive Lyriq-V along with its official launch at the Everything Electric expo in Sydney.
459kW and 880Nm from two motors
Cadillac has drastically streamlined the local 2027 Lyriq lineup, and the all-electric Lyriq-V sits as the absolute flagship over the 2027 Lyriq Sport. The Lyriq-V uses the same updated 92kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery as the 2027 Lyriq Sport, but pairs it with a more powerful dual-motor electric powertrain.
The Lyriq-V completes the 0–100km/h sprint in a claimed 3.6 seconds and reaches a 210km/h top speed in Velocity Max mode. Cadillac quotes a 3.3-second 0–60mph time for the Lyriq-V, which makes it 0.1 seconds quicker than the supercharged V8-powered CT5-V Blackwing automatic sedan.

Cadillac therefore calls the Lyriq-V its quickest production vehicle ever.
The all-electric Lyriq-V’s WLTP range falls from 503km to 471km, while energy consumption rises from 20.2kWh/100km to 21.6kWh/100km.
The 130kW DC rate also applies to the 2027 Lyriq Sport, which represents a drop from the 190kW DC rate of the 2025 Lyriq. The AC charge rate remains 22kW.
The Lyriq-V also creates an artificial propulsion sound through its AKG Studio sound system and dedicated underbody speakers at the front and rear. The sound experience changes with the vehicle’s driving modes and includes specific themes for acceleration and regenerative braking.
Drivers can also “rev” the vehicle while it sits in neutral, and those who prefer silence can activate Stealth Mode to switch the sound off.
V-Series hardware goes beyond the motors
The Lyriq-V gets lowered sport suspension with Continuous Damping Control adaptive dampers, replacing the standard Lyriq’s Passive-Plus dampers. The performance system also includes:
- Velocity Max for extra performance on demand
- Competitive Mode, which adjusts traction control
- Launch control
- A steering-wheel-mounted V-Mode button to access these functions

Exterior finish of the Lyriq-V
Cadillac gives the V-Series model several exterior changes, and the Lyriq-V gets:

- Black-painted roof
- 22-inch Satin Graphite alloy wheels

Like the Lyriq Sport, it uses Brembo front brakes with 390mm rotors, but the Lyriq-V also gets red-finished callipers.
The Lyriq-V shares several paint finishes with the Lyriq Sport:

- Polar White Tricoat
- Radiant Red Tintcoat
The fifth choice differs, as the Lyriq-V gets Emerald Lake metallic instead of the Sport’s Opulent Blue metallic.
Black-only cabin
Australian buyers get only a black interior for the Lyriq-V, with Nappa leather as the sole upholstery choice. The V-Series model also adds illuminated V-Series door sill plates.
The Kona Brown interior is offered for the Lyriq-V overseas and on the Australian 2027 Lyriq Sport, but isn’t available locally on the V-Series model.

Cadillac Australia has revised servicing intervals across its entire 2027 lineup – instead of servicing every 12 months or 12,000km, vehicles now require servicing every 24 months or 24,000km, respectively.
The Lyriq-V also receives Cadillac’s standard ownership coverage:
- Five-year, unlimited-kilometre vehicle warranty
- Eight-year/160,000km battery warranty
- Five years of premium roadside assistance
2027 Cadillac Lyriq price in Australia
Cadillac completely eliminated the previously available Luxury grade in the Lyriq lineup, and made it a simplified, two-tier lineup.

Cadillac has produced high-performance vehicles under the V-Series banner since 2004, and most, though not all, V-Series models have used V8 engines.
The Lyriq-V changes that formula. Cadillac launched it in the US for model year 2026, making it the brand’s first electric V-Series model, and that formula is coming to Australia with the 2027 Lyriq-V.
