The refreshed 2027 Genesis GV60 electric SUV will arrive in Australia in June 2026, bringing updated styling, improved range, and a more accessible entry price for the brand’s EV lineup.
Priced from $88,300 (MLP) for the GV60 Advanced rear-wheel-drive variant, the updated model positions itself as a more attainable luxury EV, sitting below key tax thresholds while retaining premium features and technology.
Design updates focus on aerodynamics and detail
The 2027 Genesis GV60 receives a subtle but noticeable exterior redesign. A new three-dimensional front bumper and updated grille give the SUV a sharper look, while the signature Two-Line Micro-Lens Array headlights add a more technical appearance.
Other changes include:
- New 19-inch alloy wheels
- Body-coloured wheel arch cladding and trim elements
- Revised underbody for improved airflow
These updates contribute to a reduced drag coefficient of 0.28, enhancing efficiency.
Interior led by 27-inch panoramic display
Inside, the cabin continues to follow Genesis’ “Beauty of White Space” design philosophy, now centred around a new 27-inch connected car Integrated Cockpit (ccIC).
This single panoramic display integrates both infotainment and driver information into one seamless unit, reducing visual clutter while improving usability. Key interior highlights include:
- Crystal Sphere shift-by-wire selector
- New three-spoke steering wheel
- Leather-appointed upholstery options, including two-tone finishes
Improved battery and fast-charging capability
The 2027 Genesis GV60 is powered by a new 84kWh fourth-generation battery, delivering a claimed 561km WLTP driving range.
Built on Hyundai Motor Group’s E-GMP platform, the SUV supports 400V and 800V charging, allowing a 10–80% charge in as little as 18 minutes when connected to a 350kW fast charger.
An updated battery conditioning system also improves charging performance in colder conditions.
Technology and safety upgrades

The updated GV60 introduces several new and improved technologies, including:
- Smart Regenerative Braking 3.0
- Digital Key 2.0 (with NFC and ultra-wideband support)
- Expanded over-the-air (OTA) updates capability (now up to 45 functions)
Safety has also been enhanced with updated driver assistance systems such as:
- Lane Keeping Assist 2
- Hands-On Detection steering wheel
The model retains its five-star ANCAP safety rating.
Chassis and refinement improvements
Genesis has focused on improving ride comfort and cabin refinement, with:
- Enhanced sound insulation in rear areas
- Improved windscreen sealing
- Additional hydro bushings at the rear suspension
Steering has also been recalibrated for better response, while four-piston monobloc front brake calipers improve stopping performance.
Performance variant on the way
Genesis has confirmed a high-performance Genesis GV60 Magma all-wheel-drive variant is in development. It will feature:
- Dual-motor setup producing 700Nm
- Electronic limited-slip differential (e-LSD)
- Drift Mode and Virtual Gearshift system
Full specifications and pricing for the GV60 Magma will be announced closer to launch.
