Key highlights:

  • New 2.5-litre diesel produces 163kW and 520Nm
  • ABN buyers can get the T60 from $37,990 drive-away
  • New cabin and styling bring the T60 closer to Terron 9

LDV has updated its T60 ute for 2027 with a larger turbo-diesel engine, refreshed styling and a lower starting price. The revised dual-cab ute also gains an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission and a redesigned cabin, while LDV cuts the range from three variants to two.

Despite the tech upgrades, the 2027 LDV T60 comes at a lower price, starting at $39,989 drive-away for private buyers, and Australian Business Number (ABN) holders are eligible for further discounts. The order books for the ute are open now, and the units are expected to arrive in showrooms by early October 2026.

More power from a larger diesel

This release is a significant overhaul and marks the model’s second major aesthetic facelift and third engine upgrade since its original Australian debut in late 2017

The biggest change comes under the bonnet. The 2027 T60 swaps its outgoing 2.0-litre turbo-diesel for the 2.5-litre turbo-diesel used in the larger Terron 9 ute.

Specification2027 LDV T60 ute
Engine2.5-litre 4-cyl single-turbo diesel
Power output163kW (+3kW / -200rpm)
Torque output520Nm (+20Nm)
Transmission8-speed AT
Braked towing capacity3,500kg
Fuel consumption8.0L – 8.2L/100km

This facelift marks the model’s second major aesthetic facelift and third engine upgrade since its original Australian debut in late 2017.

The new engine makes the T60 one of the most powerful four-cylinder diesel utes in Australia’s one-tonne ute class, with more power than the Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-Max, Kia Tasman, Mazda BT-50, Mitsubishi Triton, Nissan Navara and Toyota HiLux.

Only the GWM Cannon Alpha, with its new 3.0-litre engine, produces more power among four-cylinder diesel utes, with 170kW and 620Nm.

The T60 also weighs significantly less than the Terron 9, so the upgraded ute should be quicker than both the outgoing T60 and its larger stablemate.

Further specifications of the LDV T60 include:

  • 73L of fuel capacity
  • Four-wheel disc brakes
  • Length: 5378mm (Pro), 5548mm (Luxe with tow bar)
  • Width: 1905mm (Pro), 1950mm (Luxe)
  • Height: 1855mm (Pro), 1870mm (Luxe)

  • Kerb weight: 2110kg (Pro), 2170kg (Luxe with tow bar)
  • Payload: 1040kg (Pro), 980kg (Luxe with tow bar)

New look brings the T60 closer to the Terron 9

LDV has also refreshed the T60’s exterior. New bodywork runs from the windscreen forward, including a redesigned front fascia that adopts the newer LDV design theme first introduced on the Terron 9.

Both variants receive a standard Black Pack, which includes a black grille, bumpers, door handles, roof rails, side steps, and side mirror scalps.

The rear pick-up tub and side profiles remain unchanged, so any existing canopy, roller cover, or tub accessories from the outgoing T60 will still fit the 2027 version.

Redesigned cabin

The interior receives a more substantial update. A redesigned dashboard now houses a 12.8-inch multimedia touchscreen and an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster.

LDV has also moved the gear selector from the steering column to the redesigned centre console, and the indicator stalk now sits on the right side of the steering wheel rather than the left.

Lower prices and fewer variants

The T60 continues to be sold exclusively as a dual-cab, four-wheel-drive pickup with an automatic transmission. The 2027 model is now available in just two grades, Pro and Luxe, compared with three variants for the T60 Max it replaces.

VariantDrive-away price
LDV T60 Pro$39,989 / $37,990 for ABN holders
LDV T60 Luxe$45,253 / $42,990 for ABN holders

Business buyers with an Australian Business Number can access further savings of $1999 on the Pro and $2263 on the Luxe. For comparison, the 2026 T60 Max range started at $45,253 and extended to $53,674 for non-ABN customers.

LDV T60 first launched in Australia in late 2017, and it became the first Chinese-branded ute to receive a five-star ANCAP safety rating, although that rating has now expired. LDV says it has sold more than 46,000 T60s in Australia.

Service intervals remain 12 months or 20,000km, whichever comes first, and it continues with LDV’s seven-year, 200,000km warranty, whichever comes first.
