Audi Australia has expanded its large SUV lineup with the introduction of two new Audi Q7 S line Edition variants for the 2026 model year. The new editions aim to deliver extra value and sportier styling, though the updates are largely cosmetic rather than mechanical.
The move is part of Audi’s broader rollout for 2025–26, which also sees the arrival of the Audi A3 TFSI quattro and Audi RS Q8, as the brand strengthens its model range with more customer choice and refined value positioning.
New additions to the Audi Q7 range

The Audi Q7 S line Edition is available in two configurations. A 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel, both offering the brand’s quattro all-wheel-drive system and a seven-seat layout.
Audi says the new editions add around $9000 of extra customer value while costing $3600 more than the equivalent non–S line models.
Powertrains and performance

| Specification | Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro 185 kW S line Edition | Audi Q7 3.0 TDI quattro 170 kW S line Edition |
| Engine | 2.0-litre turbo-petrol | 3.0-litre turbo-diesel |
| Power | 185 kW | 170 kW |
| Torque | 370 Nm | 500 Nm |
| Drivetrain | quattro AWD | quattro AWD |
There are no mechanical or suspension upgrades in the Audi Q7 S line Edition range; the engines, gearboxes, and adaptive air suspension systems remain identical to the standard Q7 lineup.
That means performance, refinement, and towing capacity remain strong, but buyers won’t notice any difference behind the wheel beyond the sportier styling.
Pricing

| Variant | Price (before on-road costs) |
| Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro 185 kW S line Edition | $112,415 |
| Audi Q7 3.0 TDI quattro 170 kW S line Edition | $124,130 |
The relatively small price increase makes the S-line Edition a value-focused way to get a sportier Q7, though its upgrades are primarily visual.
Design and feature upgrades
The Audi Q7 S line Edition brings several styling enhancements designed to elevate its showroom appeal. Both models now include the S line exterior styling package, black exterior detailing, and 21-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels as standard.
Key exterior features:
- Metallic or pearl-effect paint, including S line-specific Chilli Red and Daytona Grey
- 21-inch Audi Sport five-twin-spoke wheels in satin grey with black inserts
- Black exterior styling package (black grille, window trims, bumpers, mirror caps, Audi rings, and roof rails)
- S line exterior kit with unique bumpers and badging
Interior updates:
- S line door sills with aluminium inlays and illuminated S logos
- Black cloth headlining
- Subtle S line branding throughout the cabin
It’s a tasteful, sportier package that enhances curb appeal, but with no technology or infotainment upgrades, the 2026 Q7 S line Edition feels more like a design refresh than a full update.
Practicality and comfort remain strong

Beneath the cosmetic changes, the Audi Q7 S line Edition continues to offer the same key strengths that define the Q7; exceptional ride comfort, seven-seat versatility, and impressive family-friendly practicality.
The adaptive air suspension remains standard, providing adjustable ride height for comfort or light off-road driving. Inside, the Q7 continues to stand out for its five top-tether child-seat anchor points, a rare feature among luxury SUVs, and its spacious, premium cabin.
That said, Audi’s dual-touchscreen setup remains divisive. It looks futuristic but can still feel fiddly to use while driving.
Audi’s strategy: variety over reinvention

“Audi’s focus is on providing the greatest choice possible for our customers,” says Esther Choi, Audi Australia’s Product Manager.
The comment reflects Audi’s broader approach: expanding variety through trim levels rather than reinventing existing models.
The Audi Q7 S line Edition doesn’t revolutionise the lineup, but it gives buyers a stylish, well-equipped middle ground between the base Q7 and higher-end 55 TFSI or SQ7 performance variants.
Verdict
The 2026 Audi Q7 S line Edition strengthens the Q7 range by adding sportier looks and better value without a major price jump. The cosmetic changes are tasteful, and the added equipment enhances appeal for style-conscious buyers.
However, there’s no escaping the fact that this is aesthetic progress, not mechanical advancement. For those already happy with the Q7’s power and comfort, the S line Edition makes sense, but drivers seeking more dynamic upgrades will have to look elsewhere in the Audi lineup.
