The Ford F-150 full-size ute will receive its first update in Australia since its launch in 2023, featuring a facelifted design, upgraded interior technology, and a new top-of-the-range Platinum variant. Despite price increases, the F-150 remains one of the most affordable full-size dual-cab utes on the local market. Conversion to right-hand drive will continue to be handled locally by RMA Automotive in Melbourne.

Due in showrooms in early 2026, the updated MY25 F-150 will start at $114,950 before on-road costs — an $8000 increase from the previous entry-level model.
The Platinum joins the existing XLT and Lariat variants of the Ford F-150, all of which are offered in short-wheelbase (SWB) and long-wheelbase (LWB) body styles. Ford has also removed the LWB price premium, so SWB and LWB models now cost the same.

Refreshed American pickup for Australia
The Ford F-150 remains North America’s most popular pickup, although it was overtaken by the Toyota RAV4 as the top-selling vehicle in 2024. In Australia, sales for the full-size ute have lagged due to recalls and supply interruptions, with only 549 units sold to September 2025, compared with 618 Tundras, 1,636 Silverados, and 2,112 Ram 1500s over the same period.
With the 2026 facelift and new Platinum flagship trim, Ford Australia aims to offer a more premium American pickup experience while keeping the F-150 competitively priced against its full-size rivals.
