Ford Australia has issued a recall for 32 units of the Ford F150 truck built between 2020 and 2022. The recall affects all variants of this model due to a manufacturing defect with the rear wheel hub bolts.

What’s the defect, and why is it so serious?
A manufacturing defect may cause the rear wheel hub bolts to loosen or break over time. This can damage the wheel axle and axle hub splines, potentially causing the vehicle to move while in park or leading to a loss of motive power while driving. While a broken bolt will not cause the wheel to separate, the unintended movement or loss of power increases the risk of an accident, which could result in injury or death to vehicle occupants, bystanders, and other road users.
