Ford Australia has confirmed pricing and key details for the updated Mustang Mach-E lineup, which arrives in showrooms from October. The refreshed electric SUV benefits from more power across the range, improved efficiency, revised suspension tuning, and a series of design and interior updates.

Ford Mustang Mach-E prices

The MY2025 Mustang Mach-E continues with three variants — Select, Premium and GT — priced as follows (before on-road costs):

VariantsPrice (before on-road costs)

Performance and specs update

Ford has increased the performance for all three trims of the Mustang Mach-E, with the flagship GT variant seeing the biggest leap. Both Premium and GT variants now charge faster, (10-80%) using a 150kW DC charger. Here’re the details:

Efficiency and comfort upgrades

The MY2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E not only delivers stronger performance but also focuses on improved everyday usability, with smarter energy management and a more refined ride across the lineup.

  • New heat pump: Standard across all variants, improving energy efficiency and climate control performance.
  • Revised suspension: Non-GT models gain updated sway bars, springs, and dampers for a smoother ride.
  • Balanced driving dynamics: Ford says the new setup maintains the Mach-E’s sporty handling while enhancing comfort.

Interior and exterior updates

The Mustang Mach-E also gets minor updates inside out for MY2025 that make the electric SUV look sharper than before. Its exterior highlights include:

  • New alloy wheel designs across all variants.
  • GT features a new grille design.
  • Premium variant gains matte black lower cladding and colour-matched wheel arch mouldings.
  • Unified projector-beam headlamps are now standard across the range.

The cabin updates are small but impactful in the MY25 Mustang Mach-E:

  • New column-mounted monostable gear selector replaces the rotary dial, freeing up console space.
  • Upgraded 10-way power-adjustable front seats (previously 8-way).
  • Improved cabin materials and layout for a cleaner, more refined look.

Expanded colour choices

Customers can choose from 8 paint options for the updated Mach-E, including 6 new shades:

  • New colours: Eruption Green, Molten Magenta, Terrain, Velocity Blue, Glacier Grey, and Grabber Yellow.
  • Standard colour: Shadow Black (no-cost option).
  • Prestige paint: Available for an additional $700.

Market positioning

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is a premium electric SUV that competes with models like the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Ioniq 5. However, it has not enjoyed the same kind of sales as those rivals with only 315 units sold in 2025 so far. These latest upgrades and improvements should at least keep demand consistent until Ford decides to introduce a successor for its EV SUV lineup, leaving the “Mustang” moniker to the sports car segment only.
