Geely Auto Australia has achieved a new sales milestone after recording 2,006 new vehicle registrations in April 2026, marking the first time the brand has surpassed the 2,000-sales mark locally.
The result also represents Geely’s second consecutive monthly sales record in Australia, continuing the brand’s rapid momentum in the growing EV and plug-in hybrid market.
According to the company, Geely has now posted more than 500 per cent year-on-year growth in sales for the second month in a row, highlighting increasing buyer interest in the brand’s electrified lineup.

EX5 and Starray EM-i lead April performance
The Geely EX5 was the brand’s strongest performer in April, recording 1,202 deliveries and ranking as the second bestselling battery electric vehicle (BEV) during the month.
Geely says the EX5’s result represents a 271 per cent increase compared to April 2025, which was the company’s first full month of sales in Australia.
Meanwhile, the Geely Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid also posted solid numbers, with 804 deliveries recorded across April. The model ranked as the third bestselling plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) for the month and achieved a 34 per cent month-on-month sales increase.
Together, the two models helped Geely secure one of its strongest performances since entering the Australian market.

Geely Australia lineup set to expand further
Geely says the latest results reflect growing consumer confidence in the brand as it continues to expand its presence locally.
The company also confirmed its Australian lineup will grow further in the third quarter of 2026 with the arrival of the Geely EX2 hatchback EV.
The upcoming EX2 is expected to strengthen Geely’s position in Australia’s affordable electric vehicle segment, which has become increasingly competitive with the arrival of more Chinese automotive brands.
With strong early momentum and an expanding lineup, Geely appears set to continue its rapid growth trajectory in the Australian market.
