Genesis Motor Australia has issued a recall affecting 381 GV60 vehicles. The action follows the discovery of a potential safety risk where the windscreen may not be properly adhered, increasing the chance it could detach while driving.

What’s the defect, and why is it so serious?

The defect affects the windscreen in all 2022–2024 Genesis GV60 models. Due to a manufacturing issue, the adhesion between the windscreen and the vehicle may be insufficient. If the windscreen detaches while the vehicle is in motion, it could lead to a serious accident, causing injury or death to occupants, other road users, bystanders, or damage to property.
