The Kia Tasman is already shaking things up in Australia’s ute segment—this time with its cab-chassis pricing. Ahead of its official launch next month, pricing for the dual-cab 4×4 cab-chassis version of the Kia Tasman has been revealed online. More interestingly, these prices undercut key rivals like the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux.

Starting from $48,240 before on-road costs
Leaked via RedBook, the pricing shows that the Tasman S 4×4 dual-cab cab-chassis will start at $48,240, making it $1750 cheaper than the equivalent Kia Tasman dual-cab pickup version.
More impressively, this price makes it:
- $3490 more affordable than the Ford Ranger XL Bi-Turbo 4×4 cab-chassis
- $495 less than the Toyota HiLux Workmate 4×4 cab-chassis
Based on the pickup variant’s pricing, the range-topping Kia Tasman SX 4×4 dual-cab cab-chassis is tipped to cost around $52,740, continuing Kia’s aggressive pricing strategy against better-known workhorse rivals.
However, pricing for the official accessories and the steel trays for the cab-chassis Tasman are yet to be revealed.
Single-cab chassis variants of the Kia Tasman are also due to launch in Australia later this year, but no details around pricing have been shared.

Powertrain and capability
Under the bonnet, all Kia Tasman variants are powered by the same 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 154kW and 440Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

- 6200kg Gross Combined Mass
- 7.6L/100km fuel economy (claimed)
- 206mm ground clearance

Range and arrival
The Kia Tasman cab-chassis is expected to officially land in Australian showrooms in August 2025. Prices for the family-friendly Tasman pickup range starts from $42,990 (Tasman S 4×2) and tops out at $74,990 before on-road costs.
With pricing that undercuts its biggest rivals, strong specs, and a work-ready platform, the Kia Tasman cab-chassis is shaping up to be a serious contender in Australia’s ute segment.
