LDV Australia has introduced a new drive-away offer for its Terron 9 dual-cab ute, cutting $3000 from the price of remaining 2025 stock until March 2026 or while supplies last.

For Australian Business Number (ABN) holders, the MY25 LDV Terron 9 Origin now starts from $47,990 drive-away, down from its previous $50,990 offer price. According to LDV, the new promotion replaces the launch deal introduced when the Terron 9 arrived in Australia in July 2025, which offered a smaller $1000 discount for business buyers.

Terron 9 price cut: detailed breakdown

The $3000 price reduction applies across the LDV Terron 9 range, covering both available model grades.

The entry-level Terron 9 Origin is priced at $47,990 drive-away for ABN holders and comes standard with a 3500kg braked towing capacity, dual 12.3-inch widescreen digital displays and a five-star ANCAP safety rating.

Stepping up to the Terron 9 Evolve adds features such as 20-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tyres, a locking front differential and an eight-speaker JBL audio system. Under the current offer, the Evolve is priced at $52,990 drive-away for ABN holders.

The discount is not limited to business buyers. Private and non-ABN buyers also receive the same $3000 saving, bringing the Origin to $50,674 drive-away and the Evolve to $55,937 drive-away.

Where the LDV Terron 9 fits in the ute market

At approximately 5.5 metres long, the Terron 9 is the largest ute in LDV’s Australian range, positioned above the smaller T60. By comparison, the T60 is closer in size to key rivals such as the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux at around 5.3 metres in length, while the Terron 9 targets buyers seeking a larger, more heavy-duty dual-cab ute.

Terron 9 & MG U9 – Similarities & differences

The LDV Terron 9 shares its ladder-chassis platform with the MG U9, which also launched in Australia in 2025, featuring revised exterior styling. Both utes are powered by a 2.5L turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

In LDV guise, the 2.5L turbo-diesel produces 163kW, slightly more than the MG U9’s 160kW output, while both vehicles share the same 520Nm torque figure.

One of the key mechanical differences lies in the rear suspension setup. The Terron 9 uses a leaf-sprung rear suspension similar to the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux, whereas the MG U9 adopts an independent multi-link coil-spring rear arrangement.

MG U9 prices and offers in Australia

The MG U9 range starts from $52,990 drive-away for private buyers, based on a Sydney (2000) postcode, and is available in three model grades.

The line-up is topped by the U9 Explore Pro, priced at $60,990 drive-away. Metallic paint adds a further $800 across the U9 range.

Until January 15, 2026, MG is also offering $1000 worth of accessories at no extra cost for U9 buyers who place an order.

LDV Terron 9 warranty details

Warranty coverage differs between the two closely related utes. The LDV Terron 9 is backed by a seven-year/200,000km warranty for all buyers.

By contrast, MG’s seven-year warranty drops to five years/160,000km when the U9 is purchased for commercial use.

With its latest price cut, the LDV Terron 9 now undercuts its MG sibling and reinforces its value appeal in the highly competitive dual-cab ute segment, as brands continue to chase both fleet and private buyers.
