Key highlights:
- Lepas L6 Signature costs $47,990 before on-road costs

- Lepas plans 4 more models across BEV and PHEV powertrains by 2028
Chery-owned Lepas is entering Australia’s crowded mid-size electric SUV market with the L6, priced at $47,990 before on-road costs. The new electric SUV sits between the BYD Atto 3 and BYD Sealion 7 in both size and price, and will lead the brand’s local launch before larger models arrive.
The L6 will initially be offered in a single Signature grade, combining a 65kWh battery, a claimed 440km WLTP driving range and a generous list of standard equipment. First customer deliveries are scheduled for November 2026, with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version due in March 2027.

Lepas L6 powertrain
The L6 sends 160kW and 275Nm to its rear wheels, and its 120kW DC fast-charging capability allows the battery to charge from 30 to 80 per cent in around 22 minutes.

| System output | 160kW / 275Nm |

Standard features and technology

Lepas is putting technology and comfort at the centre of the L6 package, and the cabin includes a 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, alongside an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster. Its standard equipment includes:
- Wireless smartphone charger
- 19-inch wheels
- Panoramic sunroof
- Acoustic glass for the front doors
- Eight-speaker Sony sound system
- Power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, listed on the Lepas Australia website
The L6 will be available in a single Signature grade, so buyers won’t need to compare multiple trim levels to access these features.
The L6 offers 323 litres of boot capacity, which expands to 1,255 litres when the rear seats fold flat, and it also has a separate 99-litre underfloor storage area. That gives owners additional space for items they want to keep out of the main luggage compartment.

- Lane departure warning
- Traffic sign recognition
- Surround-view monitor
- Automatic parking assist
Lepas L6 price, warranty, and servicing
The Lepas L6 EV will initially be offered in a single Signature grade priced at $47,990 before on-road costs. As with other Chery models sold in Australia, the Lepas L6 comes with a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre vehicle warranty.
Capped-price servicing and roadside assistance are also included over that period, and the battery receives a separate eight-year/200,000km warranty.
For a limited time, buyers can order the L6 with premium paint at no extra cost, and Carbon Crystal Black is available exclusively to customers who pre-order.
Lepas Australia upcoming launch timeline
