Mahindra Australia has slashed the price of its already bargain-priced seven-seat SUV, the XUV700, with a new runout deal that takes $4000 off the sticker.

Under the limited-time offer, the Mahindra XUV700 now starts from $35,990 drive-away, positioning it at roughly the same price as an entry-level Toyota Corolla Ascent Sport, which is priced from $32,110 before on-road costs, depending on the state.

Even at its regular $39,990 drive-away pricing, the XUV700 already held the title of Australia’s most affordable seven-seater. With the latest discount applied, it now undercuts the next-cheapest rival by a significant margin.

For context, the most affordable Nissan X-Trail ST AWD is priced from $41,140 before on-road costs, while other seven-seat SUVs sit even higher up the price ladder.

Mahindra XUV700 price cut: detailed breakdown

The $4000 runout saving applies across both variants of the Mahindra XUV700 range. The entry-level XUV700 AX7 is now priced from $35,990 drive-away, while the better-equipped AX7L drops to $38,990 drive-away.

Stepping up to the AX7L adds features such as a 360-degree camera, wired smartphone charging and projection, and an extra airbag in the form of a driver’s knee airbag.

Metallic paint (red, silver or black) is not included in the promotional pricing and costs an additional $495.

How the XUV700 compares on price

With its new drive-away figure, the Mahindra XUV700 sits well below other seven-seat SUV alternatives available in Australia.

The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max is priced from $41,990 drive-away, followed by the Mitsubishi Outlander ES petrol at $42,540 before on-road costs. The LDV D90 Mode RWD is also considerably more expensive, starting from $43,647 drive-away.

This pricing gap reinforces the XUV700’s position as the outright cheapest way into a new seven-seat SUV in the Australian market.

XUV700 performance and ownership

All Mahindra XUV700 variants are powered by the same 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 149kW of power and 380Nm of torque.

The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels, with claimed fuel consumption of 8.3L/100km on 91RON fuel.

The XUV700 is backed by a 7-year/150,000km warranty, adding to its value appeal, though it is worth noting the model has not yet been assessed or safety rated by ANCAP.

XUV700 standard equipment highlights

Despite its cut-price positioning, the Mahindra XUV700 comes generously equipped as standard, with a strong focus on tech, safety, and family-friendly features that would typically cost extra in rival seven-seat SUVs.

Standard equipment across the XUV700 range includes:

  • Dual 10.25-inch displays (infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument cluster)
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Six-speaker audio system with sound staging
  • LED headlights with LED daytime running lights
  • Panoramic ‘Skyroof’ glass sunroof
  • Rear-view camera
  • Keyless entry with push-button start
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Second- and third-row air-conditioning vents
  • 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels
  • Leatherette seat upholstery
  • Six airbags (front, side and curtain)
  • ISOFIX child-seat anchor points
  • Electronic stability control with hill-hold and hill-descent control
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system

Higher-spec AX7L variants add features such as a 360-degree surround-view camera, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, a driver’s knee airbag, and a premium 12-speaker audio system.

XUV700 deal availability

The $4000 runout offer is available on all Mahindra XUV700 models purchased and delivered before January 31, 2026, or while stocks last.

With pricing that now overlaps with small hatchbacks and undercuts every other seven-seat SUV on sale, the discounted Mahindra XUV700 shapes as one of the sharpest family-car deals currently available in Australia.
