The all-new KGM Musso 4×4 dual cab ute, codenamed Q300, has been revealed in South Korea. Its production is expected to begin in early 2026, with Australian arrivals anticipated in mid-2026.
This is a completely redesigned ICE pickup, which will officially replace the KGM Rexton Sports and Khan models (Korean market names for the Musso).
Next-gen KGM Musso’s expected pricing and powertrain
KGM has not confirmed engines yet, but the new-gen KGM Musso is expected to keep the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel (133kW/400Nm) with a 6-speed automatic. Prices of this dual-cab ute are also expected to increase, following the cost bump-up of the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux.
Next-gen KGM Musso confirmed features
The new Musso has a modern, squared-off design, matching the KGM Musso EV and Torres SUV. However, it uses an upgraded chassis and suspension, unlike the Musso EV’s monocoque platform.
Like the Ranger and HiLux, the Musso uses a ladder-frame chassis. However, while these utes use leaf-spring rear suspension, the Musso keeps coil-spring rear suspension, which may improve ride comfort.
The South Korean reveal confirmed short-wheelbase (Musso) and long-wheelbase (Musso Grand Style) versions. Dimensions are expected to stay similar to today’s model, and the 3.5-tonne braked towing capacity is expected to continue.
Here are the revealed exterior and interior features of the new KGM Musso:
- Bold “Musso” lettering on the bonnet
- 5-slot grille with illuminated vertical slats like the Jeep SUVs
- Large LED headlights design like the Ford workhorses
- A full-width front light bar
- 20-inch alloy wheels on higher grades
- KGM branding on the tailgate
- An integrated rear step
- Different tail-light designs depending on trim level
- Electronic park brake
- Rotary drive-mode selector
- Textured climate control dials
- Leather-look seats
- Heated and ventilated front seats
- 360-degree camera
- Physical gear selector
KGM Musso’s market presence in Australia

The KGM Musso is the brand’s best-selling vehicle in Australia and is often known as a value-for-money diesel dual-cab ute. KGM Australia plans to rapidly grow its electric and hybrid vehicles, moving away from being only a diesel brand.
By late 2025, Aussies can buy a refreshed diesel Musso ute (launched in July 2025) and the brand’s first fully electric ute (launched in Dec 2025). Current-gen 2026 KGM Musso’s pricing starts at AU$42,500 (drive-away) for the ELX Diesel and goes up to AU$53,000 (drive-away) for the Ultimate XLV. The Musso EV starts at AU$60,000 (drive-away).
