Renault has introduced a $4000 drive-away discount across its entire Symbioz range, just months after the small SUV arrived in Australia. The offer is available to private buyers purchasing a new, in-stock Renault Symbioz that is sold and delivered between October 1 and December 31, 2026. That brings the starting price of the Renault Symbioz down to $35,990 drive-away for the mild-hybrid Techno. The full-hybrid Techno is priced from $41,990 drive-away, while the range-topping Esprit Alpine costs $45,990 drive-away.

| Variant | Drive-away price until December 31, 2026 |
| Renault Symbioz Techno Mild Hybrid | $35,990 |
| Renault Symbioz Techno Full Hybrid | $41,990 |
| Renault Symbioz Esprit Alpine Full Hybrid | $45,990 |
The discount does not apply to business buyers, and the vehicle must be both sold and delivered within the promotional period. A panoramic sunroof remains a $2000 option across the range. It uses polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) technology, allowing the glass to be electronically tinted. Techno variants can also be ordered with a hands-free power tailgate for $600, while premium paint costs an additional $900. Both features are standard on the Esprit Alpine.
Two powertrains are available
The Renault Symbioz is offered in Australia with either a 12V mild-hybrid petrol powertrain or Renault’s full-hybrid system. The mild-hybrid Techno uses a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 104kW and 245Nm. It is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and has a claimed combined fuel consumption of 6.4L/100km.
The full-hybrid system combines a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 80kW and 170Nm with a 36kW/205Nm electric motor and a 1.4kWh battery. Total system output is 116kW and 265Nm, while claimed combined fuel consumption is 4.7L/100km. Renault claims a WLTP driving range of up to 1000km.
The hybrid uses a multi-mode automatic transmission and requires 95-octane premium unleaded fuel. The mild-hybrid version also has a higher towing capacity, rated at 1500kg compared with 1000kg for the full hybrid.
Where the Renault Symbioz fits in Australia

The Symbioz arrived in Australia in 2026 as Renault’s replacement for the Captur in the local small SUV line-up. It sits above the Duster and below the larger Koleos, giving Renault another option in a segment where buyers have plenty of small SUVs to choose from. The Symbioz’s full-hybrid powertrain is also significant for Renault Australia, as it is the brand’s first full-hybrid offering in the local market.
All Australian-market Renault Symbioz variants come with a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty. The 1.4kWh hybrid battery has separate coverage of eight years or 160,000km. With the promotional pricing running until December 31, the Renault Symbioz now starts below $36,000 drive-away for private buyers. However, the offer is limited to eligible new, in-stock vehicles and does not change the underlying positioning of the range once the promotion ends.
