MG Australia has announced a series of short-term price reductions and cashback offers across some of its most popular vehicles, including the MG 3 hatchback, ZS small SUV, and HS family SUV. These deals are valid for September and are available only at participating dealerships, reflecting the brand’s ongoing strategy to attract buyers with competitive pricing.
MG 3 hatchback receives $2,000 cashback
MG is offering a $2,000 cashback across the MG 3 range, applying to both petrol and Hybrid+ variants. This reduces the price of the entry-level Vibe petrol to $21,522 drive-away in Victoria, making it the most affordable the model has been since a limited-time launch offer earlier this year of $21,990.
Other petrol grades, with the discount applied, now cost:
- MG 3 Excite: $23,606
- MG 3 Essence: $25,690
Hybrid versions also benefit from the promotion. The Excite Hybrid+ is priced at $26,990, and the Essence Hybrid+ comes in at $29,990—roughly $1,000 less than the brand’s previous end-of-financial-year deal.
Under the bonnet, petrol MG 3 models are powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 81kW and 142Nm, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) driving the front wheels. The Hybrid+ combines the same petrol engine with an electric motor for a claimed combined output of 155kW, offering improved efficiency and performance.
MG ZS small SUV sees reduced pricing
MG has also extended its $2,000 cashback deal to all ZS SUV variants listed on its website. The petrol Excite now starts at $23,990 drive-away, while the Hybrid+ Essence reaches $32,990.
MG specifies that this cashback offer is valid only at participating dealerships and applies to vehicles purchased and delivered between September 1 and 30, 2025. This provides an opportunity for buyers looking for small SUVs with modern features at a slightly lower cost.
MG HS family SUV moves to reduced drive-away pricing
The two main grades of the HS SUV—the mid-spec Excite and top-spec Essence—also feature new pricing. Both models are equipped with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 125kW and 275Nm.
MG reports that the drive-away pricing will allow buyers to save up to $4,000, depending on the state. The HS Excite is now listed at $35,990, while the HS Essence costs $39,990. These adjustments mirror or slightly improve on offers MG has made earlier this year, including previous end-of-financial-year promotions.
Other MG deals this month
Additional price reductions this month include the MG4 Excite 51kW at $37,990 and the updated MG5 Essence for $32,990. Both models have been offered at similar prices in previous promotions.
While these discounts reduce the purchase price of MG’s key models, it is worth noting that some vehicles have historically been priced even lower during earlier offers. Buyers interested in taking advantage of these September deals are advised to check with participating MG dealerships promptly, as the promotion ends on 30 September 2025.
