Škoda has confirmed its upcoming flagship seven-seat electric SUV will be called the Peaq, with the model set to enter production as the road-going version of the Vision 7S concept.
The Škoda Peaq will become the largest vehicle ever produced by the Czech carmaker, as well as its range-topping electric SUV, sitting above the Enyaq and Kodiaq in the brand’s global lineup. The Peaq is scheduled to make its world debut in 2026, with Australian launch timing yet to be confirmed.
Production Vision 7S becomes Škoda’s biggest SUV

First revealed in 2022, the Škoda Vision 7S concept previewed the brand’s next-generation electric design and a new family-focused flagship SUV. The production-spec Škoda Peaq is expected to retain the concept’s proportions, measuring more than five metres in length and offering three-row seating for seven occupants.
Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB electric platform, the Peaq will adopt Škoda’s Modern Solid design language, which is being rolled out across the brand’s upcoming electric models.
Battery, range and platform
While full specifications have not yet been confirmed, the Škoda Vision 7S concept featured an 89kWh battery pack with a claimed WLTP driving range of up to 600km, along with fast-charging capability. Given advances in EV technology since the concept’s debut, range and charging performance are expected to improve for the production Škoda Peaq.
Why is it called Škoda Peaq?

The Škoda Peaq name is derived from the English word “peak”, reflecting the model’s position at the top of Škoda’s lineup. It also continues the brand’s tradition of SUV names ending in the letter Q, alongside models such as the Karoq, Enyaq and Kodiaq.
Škoda Auto Board Member for Sales and Marketing Martin Jahn said the new model marks a key milestone in the brand’s electric transition.
“With the Vision 7S, we ventured into entirely new territory for Škoda, guided by a clear vision of how we aimed to elevate the brand. We are now bringing this innovative vehicle concept to life. Our new flagship model takes our brand values of spaciousness and practicality to a whole new level.”
Australian outlook

Australian availability for the Škoda Peaq has not yet been confirmed. While the model is slated for a global debut in 2026, Škoda Australia has not yet announced whether the flagship seven-seat electric SUV will be offered locally. The brand has a growing electrified lineup planned for Australia, including the all-electric Škoda Enyaq large SUV and the Elroq medium electric SUV, both already in showrooms.
High-performance variants such as the Škoda Elroq RS and Škoda Enyaq RS are targeted for mid-2026, alongside new plug-in hybrid versions of the Kodiaq and Superb. Looking further ahead, Škoda has confirmed plans for additional electric SUVs, including the Epiq sub-compact EV and another upper-large SUV based on the Vision 7S concept, tentatively due in 2027.
More details on the Škoda Peaq electric SUV, including Australian availability and technical specifications, are expected closer to its 2026 global reveal.
