Škoda is rolling out a new infotainment update for its battery-electric vehicles, expanding on-board entertainment, connectivity and safety features.
The update applies to the Enyaq with software version 4.0 and above, as well as the Elroq, and is included as part of the Media Streaming Package, which is offered free for the first three years on new vehicles.
AirConsole gaming launches in Škoda electric cars

Škoda is adding AirConsole to its infotainment system, enabling in-car gaming when the vehicle is parked. The service launches with 15 games, including a Škoda-exclusive version of Tetris®.
The infotainment display acts as the gaming screen, while smartphones are used as controllers. Both single-player and multiplayer modes are supported, with audio played through the vehicle’s sound system. Additional titles are planned over time.
Škoda Play video service goes live

The Škoda Play service is being introduced to deliver structured news and educational video content. Built using the 3Ready Automotive platform from 3SS, the service integrates content from providers such as Euronews, NASA+, CNN, Reuters and Bloomberg.
Content is tailored to user preferences and vehicle configuration, with video playback available only when the vehicle is stationary.
Native Spotify integration added to infotainment

Škoda is also integrating Spotify directly into the infotainment system. Users can log in with existing Spotify accounts and stream music and podcasts using the vehicle’s own data connection, without the need for a paired smartphone.
Spotify is pre-installed as part of the Media Streaming Package and is available immediately after signing in.
Emergency vehicle alerts introduced via Traffication

Beyond infotainment, Škoda is enhancing its Traffication application with an Emergency Vehicle Approaching alert. Developed in partnership with HAAS Alert, the system provides real-time warnings when nearby emergency vehicles are responding with warning lights activated.
The alert displays the direction and distance of the approaching vehicle and includes visual guidance to help drivers form an emergency corridor. The feature is already live in the UK and the Netherlands, with further markets to follow.
MyŠkoda app gains smarter EV route planning

Škoda is also updating the MyŠkoda app, improving its AI-supported EV route planner. New options allow drivers to prioritise certain charging locations, limit charging to Powerpass stations, or set a minimum battery level on arrival.
The changes are designed to improve usability and confidence during long-distance electric vehicle travel.
What does this mean for Australia?
While Škoda has not yet confirmed timing or availability for Australia, the infotainment upgrade is being rolled out globally across compatible BEV models. As with other Škoda software-led features, the update is expected to reach Australian-delivered vehicles once local connected services and approvals are finalised.
Availability in Australia is also likely to depend on vehicle software versions, embedded connectivity support and regional activation of Škoda’s digital services. Škoda Australia is yet to announce a local rollout schedule.
