Iconic Japanese carmaker Subaru has announced a new limited-edition WRX to celebrate a major sales milestone in Australia. The brand is preparing to deliver the 60,000th Subaru WRX sold in Australia, marking more than three decades of the model’s popularity in the local market.
The celebratory special-edition Subaru WRX AWD Club Spec Evo is limited to 75 units and is available to order now nationwide.
“Reaching 60,000 WRX sales in Australia is a significant milestone for Subaru and a testament to the enduring connection Australians have with this iconic performance nameplate,” said Scott Lawrence, GM, Subaru Australia.
Pricing and availability
The Subaru WRX AWD Club Spec Evo will be priced at $63,190 (before on-road costs). Only 75 units will be available in Australia, each individually numbered. The model is available to order now through Subaru retailers nationwide.
The 2026 WRX range starts at $48,890 and goes up to $63,990, both being before on-road prices.
Limited edition for driving enthusiasts

The special edition is based on the high-spec WRX AWD tS Spec B, but adds several exclusive touches. One key feature aimed at enthusiasts is the manual-only drivetrain.
The Club Spec Evo will be available exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission, emphasising driver engagement and performance.

Key exterior features and colour options
The special edition WRX includes several unique styling details that aim to give the car a more aggressive and distinctive look. Key exterior features include:
- Exclusive ‘Sunrise Yellow’ paint finish
- Club Spec Evo decals on the rear doors
- 19-inch matte black alloy wheels
Sport-focused interior upgrades

Inside, the special edition WRX adds performance-inspired materials and styling. Each car also features a Club Spec Evo badge with its individual build number. Interior highlights include:
- ‘Recaro’ sports bucket seats for the driver and front passenger
- Seats trimmed in Ultrasuede with leather-look accents
- Yellow and black seat design
- Yellow contrast stitching on instrument panel, door panels, and centre console

Naming and a local milestone
The Club Spec Evo name references Subaru’s long tradition of producing enthusiast-focused WRX special editions. These models are designed to deliver a more focused driving experience for passionate WRX fans.
According to Subaru Australia General Manager Scott Lawrence, the special edition celebrates both the local 60,000 WRX sales milestone and the loyal WRX community.
