Volkswagen Australia has announced significant drive-away discounts on its outgoing seven, the Tiguan Allspace, bringing it into price competition with several budget-friendly offerings from Chinese and Indian carmakers.

As part of a run-out campaign ahead of the arrival of the all-new Volkswagen Tayron in September 2025, dealers are clearing remaining Model Year 2024 (MY24) stock of the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace. The entry-level 110TSI Life variant is now priced at $39,990 drive-away, a reduction of $4,000 from its previous $43,990 RRP, and notably $8,000 less than the five-seat equivalent.

On par with budget-friendly 7-seater SUVs

With this new offer, the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace now competes directly with Australia’s most affordable Chinese and Indian seven-seat SUVs, including:

  • Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max – from $38,990
  • Mahindra XUV700 – from $39,990
  • LDV D90 – from $43,647

It also undercuts a number of mainstream competitors such as:

  • Mitsubishi Outlander LS (FWD) – from $43,290
  • Nissan X-Trail ST (AWD) – from $41,065
  • Honda CR-V VTi X7 – from $47,300

Driveaway offers for VW Tiguan Allspace

In addition to the base model deal, Volkswagen has applied similar discounts across the Tirguan Allspace range. The 132TSI Life, which features a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive, and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, is now available for $44,990 drive-away (previously $47,990).

Higher-spec Tiguan Allspace 162TSI variants, which come with a more powerful 162kW/350Nm tune, remain available under the run-out offer:

  • 162TSI Elegance – $59,990
  • 162TSI R-Line – $61,990
  • 162TSI Wolfsburg Edition – $64,990

Volkswagen has confirmed that approximately 950 units of the Tiguan Allspace are still available nationwide across its five variant options.

Volkswagen Tayron on the horizon

The run-out offers come ahead of the Australian debut of the Volkswagen Tayron, the model that will replace the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace. Due in September 2025, the Tayron will offer both five and seven-seat configurations and be sourced from Germany, unlike the Mexico-built Tiguan Allspace.

The Volkswagen Tayron range for Australia will include:

  • Volkswagen Tayron 110TSI Life (7-seat)
  • Volkswagen Tayron 150TSI Life (5-seat)
  • Volkswagen Tayron 150TSI Elegance (7-seat)
  • Volkswagen Tayron 195TSI R-Line (7-seat)

The Tayron is expected to command higher pricing than both the outgoing Tiguan Allspace and the new-generation five-seat Tiguan, which currently ranges from $44,990 to $70,490 before on-road costs. New features in the Volkswagen Tayron will include larger touchscreen displays (up to 15 inches), a head-up display, and a 195kW engine option in the top-spec variant.

Final note

The current Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace run-out offers represent an opportunity to purchase a European seven-seater at a price point usually reserved for more economic brands. While supplies last, the offer stands as one of the most competitive in the segment.
