If you find a comparable car listed at a lower price by an eligible Australian dealer, we’ll review it and work to match the price.
Same make and model.
Same model year.
Same variant details - including series, transmission, body type, fuel type and drive type.
Comparable kilometres.
Same state.

Because buying a used car should feel exciting - not like you need to second-guess every decision after it.

The Cars24 Price Match Guarantee is a promotion for eligible pre-owned Cars24 vehicles in Australia.
If you find a comparable vehicle listed at a lower price by a qualifying Australian dealer, Cars24 will review your claim. If the claim meets all criteria, Cars24 may reduce the vehicle price by up to AUD $2,500 per claim.
You may be eligible if you are:
An individual buyer
Purchasing the vehicle mainly for personal, domestic or household use
Buying an eligible pre-owned Cars24 vehicle
Submitting the claim before any Token Payment has been paid
Submitting within the claim window
Making only one claim for the same booking
Companies, trusts, business entities, fleet buyers, commercial buyers and resale purchases are not eligible.
Eligible vehicles must be:
Pre-owned vehicles listed on cars24.com.au
Cars24-owned vehicles
Marked as Price Match Guarantee eligible at the time of booking
Vehicles are not eligible if they are:
Not marked as Price Match eligible
Already subject to a separately negotiated discount
Already part of another promotional price reduction
Commercial vehicles
Purchased for business, fleet or resale use
Already receiving another Cars24 offer that cannot be combined with Price Match
You must submit the claim within 5 calendar days from the Booking Initiation Date.
The claim must also be submitted before:
Any Token Payment has been made, and
The vehicle becomes unavailable on Cars24
If another customer pays the Token Payment first, the vehicle may become unavailable and your claim may lapse.
No.
Submitting a claim does not reserve or hold the vehicle.
The vehicle can still be purchased by another customer during the review period. The only way to secure a vehicle is by paying the Token Payment.
If your claim was submitted within the valid claim window, the time Cars24 takes to review it does not affect claim validity.
Cars24 will aim to notify you of the outcome within 3 business days after receiving all required documentation.
To submit a claim, you need to:
Identify the eligible Cars24 vehicle
Find a comparable vehicle listed at a lower price by a qualifying dealer
Submit both listing URLs to Cars24 within the claim window

The competing offer must:
Be a live, publicly accessible online listing
Be listed on the dealer’s own website or an established Australian classifieds platform
Be issued by a qualifying dealer
Clearly show make, model, variant, year, odometer, price and date
Be available for outright purchase
Be quoted on an Excluding Government Charges basis, or convertible to EGC
Be active and available at the time of claim
Be dated no earlier than 7 days before claim submission
Not include bundled incentives, vouchers, fuel cards, accessories or conditional rebates
Not depend on finance, trade-in, employee pricing, fleet pricing or promo codes
Screenshots, PDFs, written quotes, emails, verbal offers, private messages or unverifiable printouts will not be accepted.
A Comparable Vehicle must meet all like-for-like criteria.
It must match the Cars24 vehicle across:
Make and model
Model year
Variant details, including:
Series
Transmission
Body type
Fuel type
Drive type
Similar accessories, factory options and modifications
Comparable odometer reading
Accident history
Service history
Condition
Warranty coverage
Same state or territory
Availability
Listing type
The competing vehicle’s odometer reading must be within:
Plus or minus 5% of the Cars24 vehicle’s odometer reading, and
Subject to a maximum variance of 10,000 km
The comparable vehicle must have service history documentation that is comparable to the Cars24 vehicle.
This may include:
Logbook
Manufacturer-stamped service records
Dealer-issued service history report
The customer is responsible for sourcing, arranging and providing this documentation at their own cost.
Cars24 will not independently source service history documentation for the competing vehicle.
A qualifying dealer must:
Hold a valid Australian motor vehicle dealer licence
Have an active public online inventory
List more than 30 vehicles at the time of claim submission
Not be a private seller
Not be an auction house
Not be wholesale-only
Not be Cars24 or related to Cars24
Not operate only as a broker or intermediary
Private sellers, Facebook Marketplace listings, Gumtree private listings, Carsales private listings, auctions, wholesalers and brokers do not qualify.
Price comparisons are made on an Excluding Government Charges (EGC) basis, inclusive of GST.
For a valid comparison, both the Cars24 vehicle and the comparable vehicle must be priced on the same EGC basis, or be reasonably convertible to it.
If a claim is approved, the Price Match applies to the vehicle purchase price only.
The Cars24 service fee — covering services such as vehicle inspection, reconditioning, platform support, and warranty-related benefits — is separate from the vehicle price and will continue to apply on top of the matched amount.
The following are excluded:
Stamp duty
Luxury Car Tax, where applicable
CTP insurance
Registration fees
Transfer costs
Dealer delivery charges
Cars24 booking, documentation or convenience fees
Finance products
Insurance products
Optional accessories or add-ons
Promotional discount codes
Fleet or employee pricing
Loyalty discounts
Trade incentives
Fuel cards
Trade-in allowances
Cars24 service fee
Optional add-on services such as home delivery or extended roadside assistance
GST is included on both sides of the comparison for consistency.
Yes.
The maximum price reduction under the Price Match Guarantee is AUD $2,500 inclusive of GST per claim.
If the verified price difference is more than AUD $2,500, Cars24 will reduce the price by AUD $2,500 only.
No, unless Cars24 expressly states otherwise in writing.
Price Match cannot be combined with other Cars24 offers, promotions or discounts.
If your claim is approved:
Cars24 will reduce the listed vehicle price
The reduction will be applied before Token Payment
The updated price will appear on your booking confirmation and final invoice
You can then choose whether to proceed with the purchase
The matched price applies only to that vehicle and that customer.
It cannot be transferred to another customer, booking or car.
If Cars24 cannot verify or match the price, you may either:
Proceed with the Cars24 vehicle at the listed price, or
Choose not to book the vehicle
Since the claim must be submitted before Token Payment, no refund applies in this case.
Yes. Cars24 may decline a claim if:
The competing offer does not meet the requirements
The vehicle is not genuinely comparable
The offer cannot be independently verified
The offer appears inflated, incorrect or not commercially genuine
The offer is not available to the public
The vehicle has write-off history
The vehicle has major accident, flood, hail or structural damage
The vehicle has modifications that affect value or comparability
The claim is outside the claim window
The dealer is not a qualifying dealer
Required documents are not provided within 2 business days
Cars24 may request additional information.
If you do not provide requested documents within 2 business days, Cars24 may close the claim.
The vehicle will not be held while documents are pending.
No.
The Price Match Guarantee is offered in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
It does not limit, exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantees or legal remedies available to you.

The Price Match Guarantee operates separately from the Cars24 30-Day Return Guarantee.
A successful Price Match claim does not extend, reduce or change your rights under the 30-Day Return Guarantee
Only one Price Match claim is permitted per vehicle per customer.
This applies even if a previous booking for the same vehicle was cancelled or withdrawn.

Price Match is not transferable and has no cash value outside the approved vehicle purchase.
It cannot be transferred to:
Another vehicle
Another customer
Another booking
You can escalate the matter in writing to Cars24 Customer Experience at:
Cars24 will acknowledge the escalation within 2 business days and respond substantively within 10 business days.

Personal information collected for Price Match will be handled according to Cars24’s Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988.
Vehicle details and competing offer information may be used to assess the claim and for internal pricing and market analysis in aggregated and de-identified form.
Cars24 will not disclose individual competing offer details to third parties.
