This Privacy Disclosure Statement and consent form is relevant to GLOBAL CARS AUS PTY LTD ABN 22 645 541 920 ('we', 'us', 'our'). We collect information about you for the purposes you agree to in this Privacy Disclosure Statement and Consent ('Consent'). By accepting these terms, you agree we can, consistent with Australia’s privacy laws, collect, use and exchange personal information ('information') about you for those purposes.

Your information - Collection, Use and Disclosure

We collect your email address and mobile number (which may include your name and other personal information as applicable) to create an online account for you.

When we create an account for you, we may use information collected throughout your use of that account in a number of ways, such as:

  • provide you with products and services;
  • update and maintain records;
  • protect, improve and develop our products and services, including by performing analytics and conducting research;
  • send information or content to you which we think may be of interest to you by email, or other means and send you marketing communications and retargeting on advertisement platforms relating to our business;

Third parties with whom we have shared your data may contact you directly or through us to provide you with the services being offered by them on an independent basis.

The information we obtain from you is used, subject to compliance with Australia’s privacy laws, only for the purposes listed in this Consent and is not disclosed to any other person except with your permission or as permitted, or required, by law. If you do not provide us with the information required to create an account, we cannot create an account for you to access our products and services.

  • to correct the information we hold if it is incorrect
  • for copies of our privacy policy and this document, in a form that suits you (e.g., hardcopy or email)

In some cases an administration fee may be charged to cover the cost of providing the information. Our Privacy Policy also deals with our complaints process and is available on our website at https://www.cars24.com.au/privacy-policy. or we will provide you with a copy if you ask us.
