Sales context

The Ford Mustang continues to be Australia’s best-selling sports car. According to VFACTS data, 3288 units have been sold so far this year, well ahead of key rivals such as the Mazda MX-5 (504 sales), Subaru BRZ (490), Toyota GR86 (454), and Nissan Z (97).

Despite back-to-back price increases, the Ford Mustang continues to outsell its rivals by a wide margin in Australia. With fresh colours, optional appearance packages, and strong demand, the upcoming 2026 Ford Mustang is poised to remain the country’s favourite sports car.
