Key highlights:
- 2026 Renault Duster receives discounts of up to $5000
- Evolution 4×2 now costs $29,990 drive-away nationwide
- Promotional deals end on 31 December 2026
Renault Australia has slashed prices across its Duster small SUV range, offering savings of up to $5000 until the end of 2026. The promotional pricing brings the entry-level Duster Evolution 4×2 down to $29,990 drive-away nationwide, making the rugged French SUV an even cheaper alternative to several established off-road-focused rivals.
The discounts cover all four variants, including the more capable 4×4 versions, and buyers will need to take delivery by 31 December 2026 to secure the offers. The rugged Duster battles against the Suzuki Jimny, Subaru Crosstrek, GWM Tank 300, MG ZS, GWM Haval Jolion, Hyundai Kona and Kia Seltos in Australia.
Renault Duster: New Australian drive-away prices

The biggest change comes with the entry-level Evolution 4×2, which now costs $29,990 drive-away across Australia. The other three variants receive $5000 discounts, bringing the range’s top price down to approximately $36,300 drive-away, depending on the buyer’s location.
| 2026 Renault Duster variant | Previous price before on-road costs | Promotional drive-away price (until 31 Dec) |
|---|---|---|
| Evolution 4×2 | $31,990 | $29,990 nationwide |
| Evolution 4×4 | $36,490 | $34,702.21 (NSW) |
| Techno 4×2 | $36,990 | $35,217.21 (NSW) |
| Techno 4×4 | $37,990 | $36,247.21 (NSW) |
The entry-level model previously featured a $34,990 drive-away offer, so the latest promotion brings another $5000 saving against that deal.
The offers apply to new vehicles purchased and delivered between November 1 and December 31, 2026. Fleet, government and rental buyers cannot access the discounts.
The latest pricing makes the Duster considerably cheaper than its most direct off-road-focused rival, the Suzuki Jimny. The Jimny Lite remains the entry point to Suzuki’s off-road range, while the Jimny XL automatic represents its most expensive permanent variant.
| Model | Starting price before on-road costs |
|---|---|
| Renault Duster Evolution 4×2 | $29,990 drive-away |
| Suzuki Jimny Lite | $31,990 |
| Suzuki Jimny XL automatic | $37,490 |
With the promotional pricing, the Duster starts below both models’ listed prices, although the comparison involves different drivetrain configurations and drive-away versus before-on-road pricing.
Renault Australia is also including its standard ownership benefits with vehicles purchased during the promotional period and all Duster variants come with:
5-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, roadside assistance, and capped-price servicing plans.

Two engines and two drivetrain configurations

Renault offers the Duster with two different turbocharged petrol engines, depending on whether buyers choose front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The 4×2 versions use a larger four-cylinder engine, while the 4×4 models switch to a smaller three-cylinder unit with mild-hybrid assistance.
| Specification | Duster 4×2 | Duster 4×4 |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | 1.3-litre turbo-petrol, four-cylinder | 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, three-cylinder |
| Electrification | None specified | 48V mild-hybrid assistance |
| System output | 113kW / 270Nm | 96kW / 230Nm |
| Transmission | 7-speed dual-clutch automatic | 6-speed manual |
| Drivetrain | Front-wheel drive | All-wheel drive |
The 4×2 versions send power exclusively to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Buyers wanting all-wheel drive must choose the 1.2-litre mild-hybrid engine, which comes exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.

The more expensive Techno grade adds several convenience and styling upgrades over the Evolution and its additional equipment includes:

The other six available non-white exterior colours still attract an additional $850 charge.
