Subaru Australia has reduced pricing for its MY26 Solterra and Trailseeker electric SUVs, marking the second price cut for the brand’s EV lineup in the past six months. The revised pricing, effective from May 14, 2026, lowers the cost of entry into Subaru’s EV range while bringing the Solterra and Trailseeker into line with their closely related Toyota bZ4X counterparts.

The move comes as carmakers across Australia continue adjusting EV pricing amid growing competition and softer demand in parts of the electric-car market.

Subaru says focus remains on customer value

In a statement, Subaru Australia said the updated pricing reflects its commitment to keeping its EV range competitively positioned.

“This announcement reflects Subaru Australia’s ongoing commitment to delivering excellent value for its customers, ensuring its vehicles remain competitively priced without compromising on the quality, performance, or innovation that Subaru customers expect,” the company said.

Subaru has also advised customers who recently placed orders, or are in the process of completing a purchase, to contact their local retailer to understand how the revised pricing may affect their order. However, the company has not confirmed whether existing customers who recently purchased a Subaru Solterra will receive any retrospective pricing adjustment.

Subaru expands EV lineup with Uncharted

The pricing announcement coincides with Subaru opening orders for the new Uncharted electric SUV, which will sit below the Solterra in the brand’s EV lineup. The Subaru Uncharted AWD is priced from $59,990 before on-road costs.
