The sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 has officially reached Australian showrooms, bringing a comprehensive overhaul that spans design, software, safety and electrified powertrains. For the first time, the popular midsize SUV will offer a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) option, alongside an updated hybrid (HEV) range and a new performance-oriented GR Sport flagship.
With prices starting at $45,990 (before on-road costs), the new Toyota RAV4 aims to retain its position as Australia’s best-selling SUV while addressing growing competition with more advanced technology and broader drivetrain choice.

While the new Toyota RAV4 retains similar proportions to its predecessor, measuring up to 4620mm in length, 1855–1880mm in width, and riding on a 2690mm wheelbase, it adopts a sharper, more upright design language.
Underneath, the revised TNGA-K platform improves structural rigidity and refinement. Updates to suspension, steering and braking systems are intended to deliver better ride comfort and more controlled handling across varied road conditions.
Interior and technology
The cabin has been completely redesigned with a stronger focus on usability and digital integration.
