The 2027 Leapmotor C10 AWD Sports+ special edition is returning to Australia in another batch, bringing a new exterior colour but no major mechanical or equipment changes.
The latest version of the electric SUV adds Dawn Purple to its colour palette, borrowing the shade from the smaller Leapmotor B10. The new finish is paired with grey Sports+ side decals, giving the high-performance C10 a different look from the earlier versions.
Pearl White and Metallic Black will continue to be available alongside the new colour.
For Australian buyers, the return means another opportunity to get behind the wheel of one of the country’s more affordable high-output electric SUVs, particularly for those who prioritise performance without moving into premium-brand pricing.

440kW power and all-wheel drive remain unchanged

The biggest talking point remains the 2027 Leapmotor C10 Sports+’s dual-motor electric powertrain.
It produces 440kW of power and 720Nm of torque, with one electric motor driving each axle. That gives it all-wheel drive, with substantially more output than the standard rear-wheel-drive C10 Design Long Range.
For comparison, the latter produces 220kW and 360Nm from its single rear-mounted electric motor. The Sports+ effectively doubles both figures.
That much power in a family-sized electric SUV makes the C10 Sports+ an unusual proposition at its price point. However, outright power figures only tell part of the story. Buyers should also consider how the vehicle delivers that performance in everyday driving, along with its ride comfort, efficiency and driving range.
The special-edition treatment is largely cosmetic. Apart from the Sports+ badging and side decals, the package includes a cargo mat and unique carpet floor mats with red stitching.
2027 Leapmotor C10 Sports+ price and charging offer
Leapmotor has kept the C10 AWD Sports+ special edition priced at $53,888 before on-road costs.
That works out to approximately $122.47 per kilowatt, maintaining its position as Australia’s most power-per-dollar car based on the figures provided.
There is also a home charging incentive for buyers. Orders placed between 1 October and 31 December 2026 receive a complimentary 7kW AC wall charger, valued at up to $800.
The offer excludes installation costs, so buyers will still need to account for getting the charger fitted at home.
Battery, range and features

The 2027 Leapmotor C10 Sports+ uses an 81.9kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, paired with an 800-volt electrical architecture.
Leapmotor quotes a WLTP driving range of 437km, while DC fast-charging capability peaks at 180kW. The 800-volt system is designed to support faster charging, although actual charging times will depend on the charger, battery temperature and conditions.
Standard equipment includes 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
Inside, the electric SUV gets a 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-speaker sound system.
These features give the C10 Sports+ a reasonably extensive equipment list without requiring buyers to pay extra for several comfort and technology features.
2027 Leapmotor C10 Sports+ now on sale in Australia
The 2027 Leapmotor C10 AWD Sports+ special edition is on sale in Australia now, with the new Dawn Purple finish providing the main change for this latest batch.
Its unchanged $53,888 price keeps it an interesting option for buyers looking at high-performance electric SUVs without stepping into significantly more expensive territory.
However, its appeal will ultimately depend on more than its power output. Real-world driving range, charging convenience and how comfortably it handles Australian roads will remain important considerations for anyone considering the C10 Sports+.
