Giulia QV: Twin-turbo V6 performance
The standard Giulia Quadrifoglio remains the entry point into the high-performance range. It uses a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine that sends power to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
| Specification | Giulia QV |
|---|---|
| Engine | 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol |
| System output | 375kW / 600Nm |
| Transmission | 8-speed automatic |
| Drive type | Rear-wheel drive |
| 0–100km/h | 3.9 seconds |
| Top speed | 307km/h |
The Giulia QV competes against performance sedans such as the BMW M3, Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance and Audi RS5.

Giulia QV Estrema: Just 19 Australian examples

The Giulia QV Estrema is the rarest version in the Australian line-up, with Alfa Romeo allocating just 19 examples locally. Before the promotional discount, it carried a price tag of $186,990 before on-road costs.
Its upgrades go beyond appearance, with the special edition receiving:
- Carbon-fibre exterior body additions
- Increased power of 382kW
- Increased torque of 606Nm
- An Akrapovič titanium exhaust system
The titanium exhaust gives the V6 a louder exhaust note, while the additional engine output makes the Estrema more powerful than the standard Giulia QV.
Giulia QV Super Sport: A farewell edition that returned

Alfa Romeo introduced the Giulia QV Super Sport in 2024 as a farewell edition, as the company expected to end production of the regular model. The initial allocation included just 6 Australian examples from a global production run of 275 cars.
Its upgrades focus mainly on appearance and exclusive detailing:
- Carbon-fibre roof
- Dark 19-inch telephone-dial alloy wheels
- Black leather interior
- Individual numbering for each vehicle
Alfa Romeo introduced the Giulia QV Super Sport alongside a corresponding special edition of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio mid-size SUV. The Stelvio Super Sport had a global production run of 175 vehicles, with only three allocated to Australia.
What could have prompted the discounts?

The latest sales campaign comes as Alfa Romeo continues to extend the life of its ageing performance models. First launched in 2015 and 2017, respectively, the Giulia and Stelvio share the Italian brand’s Giorgio platform.
Alfa Romeo previously planned to end petrol-vehicle production by May 2025 as part of its strategy to sell only electric vehicles from 2027, but the brand later abandoned its EV-only target and extended production of both models through to 2027.
According to Autocar, production of the flagship Quadrifoglio versions stopped in September 2025. Alfa Romeo subsequently reopened European order books for both QV models in March 2026, with production scheduled to restart the following month.
The production extension means buyers can continue to order these petrol-powered performance models rather than seeing them disappear as originally planned.
The discounts also arrive at a challenging time for Alfa Romeo in Australia. The Italian brand sold just 171 vehicles between January and September 2026, representing a 53.8% decline compared with the same period in 2025.
Its full-year 2025 sales tally reached only 463 vehicles. Alfa Romeo has recorded annual sales declines every year since achieving its previous best result of 1279 vehicles in 2018.
The end-of-year discounts could help attract buyers to the Giulia QV range, particularly those interested in securing one of the limited-run editions before production ends.
