Hyundai Australia has expanded its new-generation Palisade lineup with the introduction of the Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink, a special dark-themed version of the flagship large SUV.
The new variant joins the Elite and Calligraphy grades and offers buyers a more distinctive take on Hyundai’s largest SUV, with blacked-out exterior styling and exclusive interior finishes.
Priced from $92,400 before on-road costs, the Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink is available to order now and is scheduled to arrive in Hyundai dealerships across Australia during July 2026.

What is the Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink?

The Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink builds on the flagship Calligraphy variant and adds an extensive black styling package inside and out.
The darkened treatment extends across several exterior elements, including:
- Black Hyundai emblems and badging
- Hot-stamped black grille and active air flap
- Satin black grille surround
- Gloss black window surrounds
- Satin black lower bumper trim
- Satin black beltline moulding
- Black roof rails
- Gloss black 21-inch alloy wheels
Buyers can choose between Abyss Black and Creamy White exterior paint finishes, creating either a fully blacked-out look or a contrasting monochromatic appearance.
Unlike a conventional appearance package, the Black Ink treatment extends into the cabin. Hyundai has replaced the bright metallic trim finishes found in the standard Calligraphy with exclusive black metallic accents, complementing the pure-tone black Nappa leather interior.

Hyundai says Black Ink adds a bolder edge

According to Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Operating Officer Gavin Donaldson, the new variant provides customers with a more contemporary interpretation of the Palisade.
“We’re excited to introduce Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink, which brings a more distinctive and contemporary dark edge to our large family SUV.”
“With its black-finished wheels and trim, and premium pure tone Nappa leather cabin, Black Ink gives Palisade customers a bold new expression of style while delivering the comfort, technology and practicality that defines the Hyundai SUV line-up.”

Hybrid powertrain and seating options

Like the rest of the upper Palisade range, the Calligraphy Black Ink is powered by Hyundai’s 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol-hybrid powertrain, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard.
Customers can choose between eight-seat and seven-seat configurations, with the latter attracting a $1,000 premium. The seven-seat layout replaces the second-row bench with captain’s chairs for a more premium passenger experience.
