Hyundai Capital Australia has partnered with salary packaging and novated leasing provider Smart to make novated leasing more accessible for Hyundai and Genesis customers across Australia.
Under the agreement, Hyundai and Genesis dealerships will connect eligible customers with Smart’s novated leasing and salary packaging services, allowing buyers to explore their options during the vehicle purchase process.
Hyundai Capital Australia CEO Donglim Shin said the partnership gives customers a simpler way to access novated leasing benefits.
“Customers are increasingly looking for smarter ways to finance and own a vehicle. Through our partnership with Smart, Hyundai and Genesis customers can now explore novated leasing benefits directly at the dealership.”
What are the benefits of a novated lease?

A novated lease allows eligible employees to bundle vehicle ownership costs such as servicing, tyres, registration, insurance and fuel into a single payment, with part of the cost deducted from their pre-tax salary.
Customers may also benefit from GST savings on the vehicle purchase price and eligible running costs.
Smart Novated Leasing & Electric Vehicle Services Group Executive Sid Jha said the partnership would make novated leasing more accessible through Hyundai and Genesis dealerships.
“Today’s customers want simplicity, affordability and choice when exploring vehicle finance and leasing options.”
Additional savings available for eligible EV buyers
Eligible electric vehicles priced below the 2026-27 Luxury Car Tax threshold of $91,661 can also qualify for the Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) exemption when purchased through a novated lease.
Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Operating Officer Gavin Donaldson said the partnership would provide customers with a more convenient way to access novated lease benefits.
“This partnership will give Hyundai and Genesis customers seamless and convenient access to novated lease benefits.”
