Key highlights

  • The Lexus RZ600e produces 313kW and can accelerate from 0-100km/h in a claimed 4.4 seconds.
  • Just nine RZ600e examples are coming to Australia, with sales limited to eight Lexus dealerships.
  • Australian pricing starts at $135,000 before on-road costs, making it $30,080 dearer than the RZ550e F Sport.

The Lexus RZ600e F Sport Performance is officially heading to Australia, and if you want one, you will need to move quickly. As of 29 September 2026, Lexus Australia has confirmed a fourth-quarter 2026 arrival, with pricing from $135,000 before on-road costs.

It is the most powerful electric Lexus yet and sits at the top of the RZ mid-size luxury SUV range. It joins the new Lexus RZ550e F Sport and the updated RZ500e Luxury and Sports Luxury, which launched earlier this year.

Nine cars, eight dealers

Lexus RZ600e

Production is capped at 200 cars worldwide. Australia has secured just nine of them, and they will be sold through only eight of Lexus’s 31 dealerships nationwide. If you live outside a major market, expect to do some travelling or some phone calls to get near one.

Lexus hasn’t said how it will allocate the nine cars between those dealers. It’s also too early to say how quickly they will sell, but with numbers this small, it wouldn’t be surprising if they went fast. That is speculation, not something Lexus has announced.

What’s different from the RZ550e

The Lexus RZ600e is based on the RZ550e F Sport. It uses the same 77kWh lithium-ion battery and the same 167kW/268Nm front and rear electric motors driving all four wheels. Total system output climbs to 313kW, up 13kW on the RZ550e, and Lexus claims a 0-100km/h sprint of 4.4 seconds.

The extra grunt and the bigger wheels come at a cost in range. The Lexus RZ600e is rated at 420km on the WLTP cycle, which is 17km less than the RZ550e. For most owners that is unlikely to change daily use, but it is worth knowing if you regularly do long trips.

The changes go well beyond the numbers. The car sits 20mm lower on performance dampers with unique spring rates, and it rides on 21-inch Enkei alloys wrapped in Yokohama Advan Sport tyres, 255/40 at the front and a wider 295/35 at the rear. Braking hardware is upgraded too, with 400mm six-piston front brakes and 371mm rears, finished with blue calipers.

Styling and cabin

The look is far louder than a standard RZ. A carbon-fibre body kit adds a unique front splitter, a rear bumper diffuser and bonnet vents, plus two tailgate-mounted rear spoilers. Carbon-fibre tuning vanes sit behind the wheel arches at both ends.

Australian cars come in Neutrino Grey two-tone paintwork. A matte Hakugin White two-tone finish is available for an extra $5000.

Inside, the seats are trimmed in Ultrasuede and have larger bolsters for better lateral support. The steer-by-wire yoke-style steering wheel from the RZ550e carries over, and it works with column-mounted paddles to give eight simulated gear shifts. Because the car is electric, those shifts are programmed rather than mechanical.

Comfort features include heated and ventilated front seats and outer rear seats. You also get a 14.0-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with wireless phone charging, and a 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system.

Where the price sits

Lexus RZ600e

The Lexus RZ600e’s $135,000 price tag is a big step up from the RZ550e F Sport at $104,920, both before on-road costs. That is a gap of roughly $30,000 for more power, sharper handling hardware and carbon-fibre bits.

It also lands close to what Lexus asked for the Lexus RZ450e Sports Luxury 12 months ago, which was $133,059 plus on-roads. That was before the RZ range was revised earlier this year and prices were cut by as much as $42,000. So the Lexus RZ600e is priced like the old flagship, while the rest of the range now costs far less.

Here is how the 2027 RZ line-up looks, all before on-road costs:

  • 2027 Lexus RZ500e Luxury: $84,500
  • 2027 Lexus RZ500e Sports Luxury: $91,000
  • 2027 Lexus RZ550e F Sport: $104,920
  • 2027 Lexus RZ600e F Sport Performance: $135,000

Drive-away pricing will vary by state and territory, and Lexus hasn’t published a figure for the RZ600e. Local warranty and servicing details haven’t been announced either, so ask your dealer before you commit.

The bottom line

The Lexus RZ600e is a limited-run halo car for people who want the fastest and most distinctive electric Lexus, and who are happy to pay well above the rest of the RZ range for it. If it appeals, register your interest with one of the eight participating dealers now, because nine cars won’t last long.
