Louis Vuitton has teamed up with California-based Porsche 911 specialist Singer to create two highly bespoke sports cars blending luxury, craftsmanship and performance.

Louis Vuitton has entered the automotive world with a new collaboration with Singer Vehicle Design, revealing two bespoke Porsche 911s created around the luxury brand’s Art of Travel philosophy.

The project has produced a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic and a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic Turbo, with both cars receiving extensive styling, interior and engineering changes.

The collaboration is a first for Louis Vuitton, which has created a co-branded automotive project with Singer while bringing expertise from its leather goods, luggage and watchmaking divisions into the cars.

Two Porsche 911s get the Louis Vuitton treatment

The first car is a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic, based on a Type 964 coupé chassis. It features a lightweight carbon-fibre body finished in Louis Vuitton’s distinctive saffron and cobalt blue colours, along with yellow detailing.

A specially developed roof rack can carry a trunk, surfboard or skis, reinforcing the car’s focus on long-distance touring and travel.

The second vehicle is the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic Turbo, a cabriolet based on a Type 964 chassis. It was conceived by Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Women’s Collections, and combines a Calcaire Lutétien white exterior with wood, leather and gold detailing.

The design takes inspiration from classic motorboats, with wood used extensively throughout the vehicle, including the bumpers, luggage areas and rear engine compartment.

Louis Vuitton brings its watchmaking expertise to the Porsche 911

One of the most distinctive elements of the collaboration is a detachable mechanical dashboard clock inspired by Louis Vuitton’s Tambour watch.

The clock was originally the starting point for the project. Louis Vuitton’s watchmaking division, La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, developed the timepiece before the collaboration expanded into a much wider redesign of the cars.

The Classic model features a redesigned instrument cluster with the speedometer, rev counter and gauges adopting visual elements inspired by the Tambour watch. The displays use cobalt blue with bright orange lettering, while the hands and indices have also been redesigned.

On the Classic Turbo, the clock sits prominently in the centre console rather than behind the steering wheel. It is surrounded by natural leather, golden gauges and a matching ignition key, creating a stronger connection between the exterior and interior design.

Bespoke interiors use leather, metal and wood

The interiors of both Singer Porsche 911s have been extensively reworked, with conventional plastic components replaced by handcrafted materials.

The Classic features a natural leather cabin inspired by Louis Vuitton’s VVT leather. Yellow stitching, diamond-patterned embossing and Monogram Flower motifs are used throughout the cabin, including on the seats, sun visors and headrests.

Many of the smaller components have also been individually finished. Adjustment knobs, switches, locks, pull-tabs and air vents are made from metal, with rhodium plating and finishes influenced by traditional watchmaking techniques.

The Classic Turbo takes a different approach, combining natural leather with extensive wooden detailing. Its luggage compartment is finished in varnished wood inspired by classic runabout boat decks, while wood is also used in the front boot and rear engine compartment.

The cars come with bespoke Louis Vuitton luggage

The collaboration extends beyond the vehicles themselves.

Louis Vuitton has created bespoke luggage and accessories designed specifically around each Porsche 911. For the Classic, the collection includes custom front-trunk bags, a Keepall, a Bisten case, a helmet bag and a bespoke roof rack carrying a Louis Vuitton surfboard and skis.

The Classic Turbo receives its own luggage collection, including a three-part trunk designed for the front boot, a garment bag, an Alma travel bag, a Petite Malle and a Keepall 45.

The keys have also been given bespoke treatment, with dedicated key holders and leather accessories carrying Louis Vuitton and Singer branding.

Louis Vuitton creates matching driving gear

The Classic is accompanied by a dedicated capsule collection featuring clothing and equipment designed to match the car.

The collection includes a leather racing jacket, jeans, driving shoes, perforated driving gloves and a carbon-and-glass-fibre jet helmet with calfskin detailing.

The Classic Turbo receives a separate collection designed by Nicolas Ghesquière. It includes a made-to-measure driving suit, leather driving gloves, LV Sneakerina footwear, sunglasses and a matching helmet. A Tambour Automatic watch in ceramic and yellow gold also echoes the bespoke dashboard clock.

A collaboration built around classic Porsche 911s

Singer was founded in California in 2009 and is known for restoring and reimagining classic Porsche 911s. Its work focuses on combining design, craftsmanship and engineering while retaining the character of the original sports cars.

For this project, the Classic was restored at Singer’s California facility, while the Classic Turbo was crafted in England.

The two companies say the aim was to preserve the technical integrity and functionality of the Porsche 911 architecture while incorporating Louis Vuitton’s approach to materials, travel and craftsmanship.

Neither car has been given a public price in the supplied announcement. The project is instead positioned as an exceptionally exclusive collaboration combining Louis Vuitton luxury with Singer’s Porsche 911 engineering and restoration expertise.
