MG Motor Australia has launched a new nationwide marketing campaign aimed at strengthening its position in Australia’s rapidly growing electric vehicle market.

The integrated campaign, built around the slogan “Thinking EV? Think MG”, seeks to create a stronger connection between electric vehicles and the MG brand while showcasing the company’s expanding EV lineup. Developed by independent creative agency Elevencom, the campaign is now live across television, out-of-home advertising, cinema, YouTube, search and radio channels nationwide.

The campaign features some of MG’s newest and most recognisable electric vehicles, including the MG4 EV, MG4 EV Urban, MGS5 EV, MGS6 EV and the Cyberster electric roadster. Through the campaign, MG aims to demonstrate the breadth of its EV portfolio, spanning affordable hatchbacks, family SUVs and performance-focused models.

MG builds on its Australian EV presence

MG has been one of the early contributors to Australia’s mainstream EV adoption. The brand entered the local electric vehicle market with the MG ZS EV in 2020 and has since expanded its battery-electric vehicle range significantly.

According to MG Motor Australia, the latest campaign reflects both the evolution of the local EV market and the company’s ambition to be viewed as a leading electric vehicle brand.

MG Motor Australia Marketing Director Dimitri Andreatidis said the campaign reinforces the brand’s long-standing commitment to electric mobility. “MG has been part of Australia’s EV journey from the beginning, helping make electric vehicles more accessible to everyday Australians.”

Andreatidis said MG now offers one of the most diverse EV portfolios available to Australian buyers, covering multiple vehicle segments and price points. “Today, we offer one of the broadest EV portfolios in the market, spanning everything from practical urban mobility through to premium SUVs and high-performance sports cars.”

The campaign highlights how MG’s electric vehicle offering has expanded beyond affordable entry-level models.

Current EV models featured include the award-winning MG4 EV hatchback, the recently introduced MGS5 EV and MGS6 EV SUVs, as well as the Cyberster electric sports car. MG says the campaign is designed to appeal to a wide range of buyers, from first-time EV owners to performance enthusiasts.

Brett Jones, Portfolio Manager at MG Motor Australia, said the company’s EV strategy has evolved considerably over the past five years.

“MG’s EV story started with making electric mobility attainable, but today our range demonstrates just how far the technology has come.”

Jones added that the campaign celebrates the diversity of MG’s electric vehicle portfolio while reinforcing the brand’s commitment to the future of electric mobility in Australia.
