MG4 Urban reaches 2195 sales in August

MG launched the MG4 Urban in Australia in April 2026. The smaller, city-focused electric hatchback sits below the standard MG4 EV in the local range, with its first deliveries beginning in June 2026.

Despite that short sales period, the MG4 Urban has already built a strong position in Australia’s EV market.

MG’s overall sales increased by 21.4% in August 2026. The MG4 Urban has also ranked among Australia’s 20 best-selling electric vehicles year-to-date, despite deliveries only starting in June.

By the end of August, MG had sold 2195 MG4 Urbans, which makes it MG Australia’s third-best-selling EV, behind the MG4 and MG S5 small SUV.
