MINI Australia has announced the new MINI Cooper Oxford Edition, a limited-production special edition that pays tribute to the brand’s British roots and the Oxford factory where the original Mini and modern MINI have been built.
Just 40 examples of the Oxford Edition will be offered locally, all based on the MINI Cooper S 3-Door. The Australian allocation will be split evenly between 20 vehicles finished in Chili Red II and 20 painted in Indigo Sunset Blue.
The special edition is scheduled to arrive in Australian showrooms during the fourth quarter of 2026, with pricing and final specifications to be confirmed closer to launch.

MINI celebrates 25 years of the modern MINI
The Oxford Edition commemorates 25 years since BMW Group revived the MINI brand in 2001. Production of the modern MINI has taken place at the Oxford plant in the United Kingdom, which remains the spiritual home of the brand.
MINI says the special edition reflects the company’s heritage while showcasing the personalisation and distinctive design that have become key elements of the modern MINI lineup.
According to MINI Australia General Manager Alexander Brockhoff, the Oxford Edition celebrates the birthplace of MINI and the individuality that has helped the brand build a loyal following worldwide.
Union Jack-inspired design inside and out
The most distinctive feature of the MINI Cooper Oxford Edition is its Union Jack-inspired styling package.
A large interpretation of the British flag is integrated into the roof design, while a red and white centre stripe runs the length of the vehicle. White mirror caps provide contrast against the two available exterior paint colours.
The Oxford Edition also receives exclusive 18-inch Slide Spoke two-tone alloy wheels, along with edition-specific wheel hub and valve cap details.
Inside, the British theme continues with a textured Union Jack graphic incorporated into the steering wheel design. Special floor mats feature Union Jack and chequered-flag motifs, while unique door sills celebrate 25 years of the modern MINI.

MINI Oxford Edition lifestyle collection
Alongside the vehicle, MINI has unveiled an Oxford Capsule lifestyle collection inspired by the special edition.
The range includes a traveller bag, unisex T-shirts, cap, stickers and MINI’s signature umbrella. Many of the items feature dark blue finishes and Union Jack-inspired detailing that mirrors the design of the Oxford Edition.

MINI Australia will offer the Oxford Edition exclusively in Cooper S 3-Door form, with total production for Australia capped at 40 vehicles.
The allocation consists of:
- 20 examples in Chili Red II
- 20 examples in Indigo Sunset Blue
Australian deliveries are due to begin in Q4 2026, with local pricing and detailed specifications to be announced closer to launch.
