Porsche says the new fourth-generation Cayenne Electric is the most customisable Cayenne in the model’s history, with an unusually broad range of exterior and interior personalisation options. The all-electric Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe are now available through Porsche’s online configurator, including options ranging from bespoke paint colours to electric doors and enhanced front-seat massage functions.
For Australian buyers, the new Cayenne Electric range is already arriving in showrooms. As of September 2026, pricing starts at $167,700 before on-road costs. The headline feature for buyers who want something less ordinary is the paint selection. Porsche offers 13 standard exterior colours, while its Paint to Sample program adds another 92 shades through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.
That gives buyers 105 exterior paint options in total, although the additional Paint to Sample colours are part of Porsche’s individualisation program rather than the standard palette.

Electric doors and upgraded seats
The Cayenne Electric can also be specified with electrically operated doors, a feature more commonly associated with high-end luxury vehicles. Servo motors open and close all four doors after a short pull of the handles. The doors can also be operated using buttons inside the cabin, through the Flow Display infotainment system or with Porsche Digital Key on a compatible smartphone.
There is even a function that allows the driver to close their door by fastening the seatbelt or pressing the brake pedal. Inside, Porsche has added a new front-seat massage option that combines pneumatic massage with a 4D audio system. Each front seat uses 16 air cushions and six sound actuators built into the backrest and seat base. There are five massage programs, with vibration intensity adjustable to suit the occupant.
The 4D audio system can also operate independently of the massage function. Porsche has integrated both features into its Mood Modes, which combine the massage settings with curated sound experiences. For buyers spending well into six figures on a large luxury SUV, these options add another layer of personalisation beyond the usual leather, trim and audio upgrades.
Wireless charging coming to Australia
Another notable addition is Porsche Wireless Charging, which charges the vehicle without a physical cable connection. The system uses a charging pad mounted beneath the vehicle and a weatherproof ground pad installed in a parking space. Porsche says it can charge the battery at up to 11kW with efficiency of about 90 per cent.
That makes it broadly comparable with the output of a conventional 11kW AC home charger, although the wireless system is designed around convenience rather than higher charging speeds. Safety systems include motion sensors and foreign-object detection. If the system detects a metallic object or a living creature on the charging pad, charging automatically stops.
Importantly for Australian customers, Porsche has confirmed wireless charging for Australia at a later date. Australian-delivered Cayenne Electric models will come with the necessary pre-wiring as standard, allowing the hardware to be retrofitted once it becomes available.
That means buyers taking delivery before the wireless system arrives locally should not need to choose between the feature and buying the car now. The 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric is currently priced from $167,700 before on-road costs in Australia, with the range arriving in local showrooms.
