Mazda Australia has rolled out a major update for its large architecture 2026 SUV line-up and adds more standard equipment while reshuffling prices across the CX-60, CX-70, CX-80 and CX-90.

The move aims to align powertrain pricing, respond to growing competition from electrified rivals and boost sales. Diesel and plug-in hybrid models receive substantial permanent price reductions, but some entry-level petrol variants now cost more than before.

All these 2026 Mazda SUV models with updated pricing are available now at Mazda dealerships across Australia.

Powertrain pricing gets simpler

Mazda has simplified its pricing structure for 2026. The 3.3-litre inline-six petrol and 3.3-litre inline-six diesel engines now carry identical prices when buyers choose equivalent model grades.

The company has also lowered prices for the P50e plug-in hybrid, available exclusively in the CX-60 and CX-80. Those models now cost just $5,000 more than an equivalent G40e petrol or D50e diesel version.

The revised pricing also reflects three key changes:

The previous $2,000 premium is removed for D50e diesel engines, and they now cost the same as the equivalent G40e or G50e petrol model.

The company has significantly reduced prices for the P50e plug-in hybrid, cutting the premium over comparable petrol and diesel models to $5,000.

Mazda has added features such as Mazda Connected Services and extra active safety technology to the CX-60 and CX-90, which justifies price increases on some petrol variants.

2026 Mazda CX-90 price and equipment updates

The biggest equipment update for 2026 arrives in the CX-90 GT, which now includes the Sports Appearance Package as standard. The package replaces chrome trim with black finishes across the signature wing, centre bumper guard, mirror caps, window mouldings, roof rails, and side badging.

Mazda also fits 21-inch black alloy wheels in the CX-90 to give this large SUV a more aggressive look.

Talking about new pricing, the whole 2026 Mazda CX-90 lineup, which runs on a 48-volt mild-hybrid 3.3-litre turbocharged inline-six engine, costs less than before. Petrol (G50e) trims drop by $3,200 and diesel (D50e) variants receive reductions ranging from $5,200 to $9,288.

2026 Mazda CX-80 price updates and a new trim addition

Mazda has expanded the 2026 CX-80 large SUV range with a new Pure grade. While Mazda highlights the availability of its 3.3-litre e-Skyactiv D inline-six diesel engine in the new entry-level variant, the pricing structure places both G40e petrol and D50e diesel versions at the same price point. The engine combines strong torque with improved efficiency through Mazda’s 48V M-Hybrid Boost system.

The new Pure grade gives buyers a more affordable entry point into the CX-80 range while retaining the practicality of Mazda’s three-row SUV.

2026 Mazda CX-80 also sees price cuts; diesel models fall by $1,600 and plug-in hybrids by $7,650 while G40e petrol variants go the opposite way and increase by $400. In the pricing table below, P50e denotes the plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Safety, technology and exterior updates

Mazda has expanded the standard safety equipment in the CX-60 and CX-90, and both models now include:

  • Front Cross Traffic Brake (FCTB)
  • Cruising Traffic Support (CTS) with Driver Emergency Assist
  • Mazda Connected Services

The CX-70 and CX-80 already included Mazda Connected Services.

Mazda has also updated the colour palette for the CX-60 and CX-90 by replacing Sonic Silver Metallic with Polymetal Grey Metallic. The CX-70 and CX-80 continue with their existing paint colours.

Bottom line

Mazda has overhauled pricing across its large SUV family by making diesel and plug-in hybrid models significantly more affordable while adding extra standard equipment to key variants. Buyers now face a simpler pricing structure, more technology and safety features, plus a new entry-level CX-80 diesel, although some petrol models now carry slightly higher price tags.
